  1. I’ve been dipping in to Golf Story - which I’m still enjoying and a tiny bit of Links Awakening. After a week of planning and recording lessons then teaching on Friday, today has been a sleepy day. Tomorrow I’m hoping to smash through a load of work, house work, gardening and a walk before the afternoon - then get a few hours of gaming in when the baby is snoozing.
  2. I’m still stuck in remedial humour, teach won’t even look at me for the advanced class.
  3. I was waiting for a ‘better snake than lever’ punch line.
  4. Starting to get back into more consistent running now it’s not freezing cold. Just finished what I think was about 4.5 run that was half uphill. With working and a baby though I can just about get myself motivated to run, but I’m still not there with doing strength work. I might just do it after school for 20 minutes in our dance studio of I’m allowed as it’s barely used and cleaned every day. My wife also wants to get healthier so we’re eating more sensibly (which also went out of the window with the baby) so it’ll be nice to shift maybe 20lbs of excess and replace it with some lean mass.
  5. Yep I agree. I’m fine with having set areas where I can upgrade my character - but I do love being able to set down a game and pick up again with no issues.
  6. Nothing at the moment - I’m still looking backwards with games rather than forwards.
  7. Host- so much better than it should be, perfect length, good (familiar) premise and a committed cast. Worth it.
  8. More of the above games...Golf Story has progressed to being charming. South Park has been enjoyable and worth playing.
  9. After reading a small amount about it, I would find a very accurate representation of slavery as it operated in the United Kingdom - supporting the trade across the world - just to gain more of a view about it. Or, the Witch hunts in England that proceeded those in the US.
  10. Death Stranding. I played it during the opening months of the first UK lockdown and it was just everything right.
  11. So I’ve played about 2 hours of the Fractures But Whole. So far, being a South Park fan, I’m enjoying it. Also started Golf Story which so far seems perfectly nice. btw that was originally typed out as gilf story...which I’m guessing is a very particular franchise only available on certain parts of Steam.
  12. Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order. B Links Awakening (Switch). A Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope. B South Park: The Fractured But Whole. B- Control B+ Undertale B+ Golf Story B Final Fantasy 7: Remake B
  13. Been making my way through Fallen Order - my senses tell me I’m not far away from the end. After making the mistake of letting my wife play my Switch - I’ve now not had it for the last 4 days as she’s flaying through Links Awakening. After Star Wars I might try The Fractured But Whole as I bought it months ago and it’s just sitting there. Edit: more for Me - still to buy: Spider-Man, Control, Final Fantasy 7, Ghost of Tsushima and Doom Eternal.
  14. I want to be excited but Ubisoft being tied to it makes me unhappy/already bored by the thought of bloat.
  15. The story wasn’t interesting, it wasn’t scary and was very brief for costing half of a full price game. Compared with until Dawn it was poor.
  16. Dark Moon was cracking but I’m not sure how it would hold up going back to it after 3.
  17. Played some PS4 for the first time since November - opted for Jedi: Fallen Order and will push to finish it next weekend and if I have some free time as my wife has started Links Awakening and it looks like my Switch time is reduced. I still have a few PS4 games I want to finish to see the generation out - so I’m hoping the sales continue till pay day.
  18. My father in law let me borrow that book and it is indeed awesome. just finished Warriors of the Storm and after deciding both Odyssey and War and Peace will be my summer books I’m deciding between Flame Bearer or something else from my bookshelf.
  19. More Links Awakening. Completed Catfish Maw - which involved an awful lot of wandering around very lost. I’m still massively enjoying the game and despite the dungeons remaining similar (I think), it’s still a wonderful game.
  20. I’ve played a bit more Link’s Awakening today, beating the Angler dungeon. It’s a really charming game - and the Zelda loop (the older style) is so satisfying to play. I'm aiming to see the game through in the next two weeks and then I think I’ll put all my attention into Hades. I struggle with having more than one game on the go at a time and with Dark Souls and Zelda, I’m at capacity.
  21. Surely this will miss the mark of what made the original interesting. Namely, the dynamic of being a young professional woman in 90s New York. I say that like my wife won’t want to watch it....so it’ll be on.
