Always love to meet fellow T1 > T2 people. T2 is a fun action movie (and yes, a classic) but a really shitty sequel to the superior Terminator. T2 has some amazingly crafted action sequences and one of the best villains of all time (but still not as good as Arnie in the first one) ... but the story is really a sack of dookie... it's a complete retread of the first and makes zero sense given the story and rules the first movie put in place. T2 is a lazy sequel with a giant budget and a very talented director at the top of his game. Terminator is an amazingly paced, tightly written, tense roller coaster ride with a great story that pays itself off and follows its own logic... unlike the sequel which throws everything that happened and everything that was established in the first movie right into the trash in order to make a bigger badder retread of the exact same story even though it made zero sense the second time around.

Temple of Doom has a crap story, but is a well crafted film with lots of fun bits. Last Crusade is such a bland/safe entry. It's really not the best either. I can barely remember anything about Crystal Skull... I think I purged it from my memory like a traumatic event. I remember it making me very angry and sad. I really hated it. Have not seen it or thought about since it came out and I saw it in the theaters. Really the only true masterpiece in the franchise is the first one, which I consider one of the single greatest films of all time. Indy 5 will have to have a lot of positive buzz and glowing reviews for me to check it out.

If the right was actually serous about reducing immigrants from coming over, they wouldn't go after the immigrants themselves, they would go super hard on the businesses that employ them. But they don't, weird. The uncomfortable truth they don't want to admit is that our economy is 100% dependent on this cheap migrant labor. Both parties suck at immigration. It is a problem without easy solutions. But it seems like the bare minimum you can do is treating everyone with human dignity and not going out of your way to turn the most desperate and powerless people into political props by playing some sort of juvenile gotcha game.

Yeah, we were very late to this and finally saw it in the theater a week before it came out on D+. It was very much there. Lots of individual scenes were fun, but as a cohesive whole, this movie was a weird mess. It wasn't total trash, but it felt really forgettable and pointless. It's hard for me to even get worked up enough to say much of anything about it good or bad. Definitely lower tier Marvel.

What I really want is advance wars on iPhone/iPad. It would be such a good fit.

Seems like congressional term limits would solve this.

Advance Wars please.... (Although, honestly, I don't know how much I will actually want to play it, since I still play the originals fairly frequently... but I want to vote with my dollars and let them know the world wants more AW content.)

Is this a dark/gritty reboot?

The fact that Trump and everything he stands for has been normalized at all is pure insanity. The state of politics in America right now is beyond anything a rational person should be able to accept. We're boiled frogs. If we went from Bush Sr straight to Trump, 99% of the country would freak out instantly. This level of insanity took decades to reach. Acting like anything about Trump, Trumpers or Trumpism is normal is what isn't normal.

Anyone who supports Trump and then criticized Biden for being decisive should be thrown into a bottomless pit.

Can you imagine how much of a total shit brained moron you would have to be to think someone like Sarah Palin should be in a position of leadership? Good for the people of Alaska. Fuck Sarah Palin, what a terrible person she is. She should do the world a favor and take this opportunity to disappear from public life forever.

"Your dad and I agreed that it would be best if you just stop being who you are and doing the things you love" Ha. I liked some of the Walk Hard vibes it was giving off, but I dunno. Can this remain funny for an entire movie? Seems tonally all over the place, but it's a trailer, so who knows.

I really loved this show. I hope they make more, but even best case scenario it’s probably years away, so boo…

I don't really pay much attention to this issue, since it has little effect on me... but yeah, it feels to me like trying to fix a delapidated house that's on the verge of collapsing by painting the gutters. Isn't the bigger problem the out of control costs of higher education? Haven't easy access to loans actually made that problem much worse? I don't know the answer, but I know the whole system is broken.

Yeah, this wasn’t quite bad enough to really be bad, but also not quite good enough to really be good. It was just sorta there. Had a few very cool moments but mostly just spun its wheels and really doesn’t hold up to any scrutiny at all.

Is there more DOOM coming? Maybe some DLC that isn't designed to be insanely difficult for us casual plebes?

I read a few odd issues of this back in the 90s, but I wasn't really into it. I've loved the first half of the season. I think they did a great job and I really look forward to this being around for a while. Hopefully it is.

I remember being pretty underwhelmed for the first few trailers I saw and was purposefully not paying much attention to this... but this new trailer looks pretty great and hey, this comes out in like 2 weeks. I'll be there for sure. I'm guessing this will be week-to-week and not a total episode dump?

It's already been proven that it doesn't matter how flimsy the excuses they come up with are. The bottom line is that every rational person already knows everything they need to about Trump and how he operates, and Trump and the right wing spin machine just has to be convincing enough to mildly satiate the people who are dumb enough to support and/or vote for Trump... and as has been established, these people have proven themselves time and time again to be mush brained simpletons incapable of critical thought.

I watched both seasons back to back. I think season 1 was better overall, but they were both great. Season 2 got a little darker but I don’t think it was that jarring. I don’t think Kelvin changed that much either. This show has some weird tonal shifts for sure. I feel like most of the characters suffer from Homer Simpson syndrome where their intelligence goes up and down as needed for humor. This show is a lot of fun. I watched an episode a night and I was always looking forward to the next ep. Some shows are a slog but this goes down real easy. I read an interview with Danny McBride where he said he envisions the show going on for a long time.

Strong trailer. Maybe they'll get it back on track.
