I've never played even a second of the games... watched the first episode and I dunno if I am in love with this show as much as everyone else. I feel like it's trying to be edgier and hipper than it actually is. The look is great, but the tone feels off somehow. I can't really put my finger on what I didn't love about it, but it just didn't wow me. I will keep watching though. Episode one gets a 3/5 from me.

I have never seen a single episode of Bluey, but I'm pretty sure I get the appeal. A lot of kids programming is just really horrible and painful to watch, so any time there is a program that your kids love and you can tolerate or even enjoy it gets a ton of bonus good will. Then you forge positive shared memories with your children and the rest is history. It's not that complicated.

I've noticed this with my kids, they don't seek out new gaming experiences. They just play whatever all of their friends are playing. It's much more social and much less solitary. They don't want single player experiences at all. It's multiplayer or nothing. It's kind of weird to me, but whatever.

I don't remember when I first registered on IGN, but I definitely was on the boards when I lived in Maryland and that was 1999-2002ish. I may have been registered before that, I was very into online message boards in the late 90s. I really can't remember. I definitely remember paying for access later in the life of IGN. Dusk is super fun. I downloaded like 3 or 4 of those modern retro shooters that were the rage a few years ago and Dusk was the standout winner of the bunch. This game looks cool. I'm sure the novelty would wear off quickly, but if they price it right and make it a good length it could be a good time.

I haven't actually seen the Barbie movie, but my understanding is that it is basically the Lego Movie, but slathered with over-the-top anti-patriarchy messaging. I'm guessing a monopoly movie will be the same thing, but for capitalism? Kinda rich coming from Hollywood, one of the most patriarchal and negatively capitalist industries to ever exist... We've had Clue and Battleship... what's next? Candyland? Risk? Life? Mousetrap? Chutes and Ladders?

My kids love Chipotle and we eat there at least a few times a month. I don't condone the shooting of Chipotle employees... but I get it.

Well, it took forever, but I finally finished this up. I thought the movie wrapped things up about as well as you can expect something like this to get wrapped up. I feel like a lot of characters fell to the wayside at the end, but I’m not sure if they could really have had a satisfying ending for everyone. It would have been like the ending of Return of the King times 10… Anyway, I’m not sure I really have that much to say… great show, watched it for 20 years, glad to see it go out while still being high quality. The last few seasons were great. I remember not really feeling em when I first watched, it the second time it all flowed better. I feel like the show peaked around season 2-3, fell off a bit in 4-5 and rebounded again with 6 and 7. The movie felt more like the season 7 finale than some sort of epic standalone event… and that’s just fine.

Yeah, that price is off. Would make me leery... Printing and mailing a magazine alone costs way more what they are charging. There is no way they are making it back with ads and then also paying a staff of writers and designers? It just doesn't ad up. That said, I do miss the age of magazines. I remember as a kid knowing when the new EGm was supposed to arrive and waiting by the mailbox for it to arrive.... and how annoying it was when it didn't... a very different era.
