She didn't even visit a real detention center. She went to a church run shelter that's a completely different kind of thing. She was supposed to go to a real detention center too, but they had to cancel that visit because of *cough cough* flooding.

So, she's either doing it on purpose to either give everyone the middle finger, or give her husband the middle finger for making her go, or as a calculated move by the administration to change the conversation... or she (and more importantly, her handlers) are so unaware and stupid that they didn't see how it could be a problem. Why is she wearing a jacket at all? It's like 90 degrees everywhere. I mean, I'm pretty sure it's the simplest answer, which is that she and her handlers are fucking morons, but sheesh... what the hell man. (Is there a time limit on edits now? Boo.)

I only have one AMC near me and I don't like it very much. There are a bunch in town, but they aren't that convenient. I've always preferred Wherenburg, who was recently bought by Marcus, which I was annoyed by at first, but Marcus has done a really good job with everything. Plus, I can buy tickets with their app and not pay a dumb service fee.

I thought it would be one of them, I wasn't sure, but the way they made her look, like a half asleep stoner or something was just weird. I mean, I actually thought that they wanted us to think it was one of them to throw us off, and was disappointed when that wasn't the case.

Seriously, who didn't see the bad guy coming from the very second she appeared on the screen. I figured it was so obvious that they were just playing with us, but nope. I also didn't like the plane showdown. Are we really supposed to believe that depriving elastigirls oxygen for a minute would render her useless? And the evil sister lady was simply making the plane go up to avoid her? Uh, she can stretch, just stretch out and punch her. I didn't like that segment at all. I agree that the short before the movie was great. I hate that the story was so lazy in this one, because there was so much about it that I absolutely loved. I think I just need to accept it for what it is. I'm really hoping for an Incredibles 3. I don't care if it's lazy. Just give me more action and fun.

So we have a Switch and after a few months, the left JoyCon was super loose and would pop off with almost no effort. I chalked this up to how when we first got it, we didn't realize that those little clip on shoulder attachments had locks on them. My kids kept putting them on wrong and puling them off with way too much force. Anyway, I sent it back to Nintendo and they fixed it. Ugh, well now, both of my JoyCons are loose again. I know no one has been screwing with them. Kids are playing with this system, but I'm pretty sure they aren't doing anything stupid with it. What the Hell Nintendo? Are all JoyCons loose? Is this a thing? I find this super annoying. I guess I can send it in again, but if they just became loose after a month or two before, what's stopping the exact same thing from happening again? Does anyone else have this problem?

Yeah, they just need to slow down. No need to make 2 of these a year.

The problem for me now is that I always take my kids to the movies. If Marcus Theaters starts some sort of family plan with this I might be interested. I would want some sort of lesser plan that allows for one movie a week. One movie a week for three people would be nice.

Seriously, what the fuck is this shit? What's pathetic is that there is so much chaos and noise surrounding this presidency that this isn't the single most talked about and mocked thing in the history of ever. If any other president just casually announced they were starting a space force with no details or information or anything, it would be the most ridiculed and mocked announcement ever. It would spark months of debate. But in Trump Land? It's a subhead for a day and then we move on. What a fucking clown this man is.

So, I've really got mixed feelings on this one. As a fun crowd pleaser, it was an A+. But man, was this movie ever sequelly. It was a 100% rehash of the first movie. Same exact plot twists and everything. But at the same time, I had so much fun watching it, and Brad Bird might be the best action director working now. Talk about fun. Loved spending time with these characters again, loved almost everything, just wish they had tried to be a little more daring with the story. That whole line of "well, I had to wait until I had the perfect story to tell" narrative is complete and total bullshit. This was simply an excuse to get these characters in action again. Nothing more. And I think the ONLY reason it takes place immediately after the first is so that Jack Jack can still be a baby. And Edna Mode served no purpose in this movie whatsoever, other than to be Edna Mode, who admittedly, is awesome. It's weird to think that the entire MCU universe of films exists in the gap between the first incredibles and this one. That's how much the superhero movie landscape has changed.

Ugh, I missed this board. We missed so much in Trump time. 2 weeks of downtime or whatever may as well have been an eternity.
