  1. I know that Kroger around me carries it, Associated Foods (primarily located in Utah) does as well. I'm partial to
  2. I just do not understand the AI in Alien Isolation at all. I don't understand what triggers the xenomorph to come where you are. I literally spent the better part of the section I'm in crouching everywhere, but the xeno will just randomly sprint to where I am in seemingly random circumstances. Other times when I'm hiding in a locker he will come sniff in front of me, I'll hold my breath and hold back, I'll visually see him leave the room, check the little radar thing and it shows he is away then BOOM rips my door off and eats my face. Other times I can be crouching behind a table with LOS on the xeno and it'll just bounce out of the room. I don't get it. I like to think I'm not terrible at stealth games that much, but maybe I am a lot, lot worse than I think I am.
  3. Oat milk is where its at. Its completely replaced regular milk for me. I tried everything pea milk, almond milk, soy, etc. Either the consistency was bad or the taste. Oat hits the spot though.
  4. After watching that gameplay my interest in this dropped off. After reading that playing single player is tedious my interest dropped even further. I guess I'll wait until I have a group of friends looking for something to play.
  5. Hence the second part, even if gamers complain its still going to sell well. I usually use AAA regarding a high budget and large development team, but as I doubt we will ever find out the budget for the game. MecurySteam is a studio of about 160. By comparison Naughty Dog has over 500, 343i has over 700, and Santa Monica has over 250 just to give a few numbers. The closest developer I could find to Mecury was Ninja Theory at 120, Firaxis has 180, and 4A has 150.
  6. I never said it should be compared against indie studios. My intent was that expectations were skewed if you are expecting this to be the quality of one of EPD's games.
  7. I was unaware that a $60 dollar price meant that it was developed by a AAA studio. Plus Nintendo tax, no one is going judge Skyward Sword HD based on its price tag and even if they do majority of people will still buy it. Metroid 5 might be a big deal to us, but it isn't to Nintendo. They have half-assed the series for the past 15 years. Pinball, Hunters, Federation Force, Other M. The last proper title we got besides Samus Returns was Prime 3 in 2007.
  8. And yet very few actually even reach what can even be considered a good metroidvania. I can’t tell you how many I’ve played that can’t even get tight controls down, let alone graphics and sound design. I think it’s the wrong expectation to compare this to a AAA title. This isn’t a first party Nintendo developer. Mercurysteam is probably working with 10 year old design documents from when Dread was initially being worked on. We know Nintendo is extremely strict about their titles. I can’t imagine they have that much freedom. I think it’s a decent choice. We have Chozo artifacts, Metroids, space pirates, giant monsters, X parasites. Robot enemies don’t seem like a terrible choice instead of reiterating something already used. The ability to morph and crawl is particularly disturbing to me.
  9. “We have an abundance of Metroidvanias out there. We have Ori, we have Hollow Knight” Yeah majority of metroidvanias out there are mediocre at best and trash at worst. There are very few that actually stand out and he named 2 of the 3-4 that I would say actually made an impression on the genre.
  10. While I share the sentiment that the environments don't look great, I don't think they are horrible. Looking back at Metroid Fusion there is a lot of environments that are just plain and boring. It has a little more charm due to its pixelation, but a lot of it is held together by the tension the SA-X brings, music, and just general tone of the game. The first 30 seconds of this gameplay they almost get caught by the robot a lot, its tense. The music has that same ominous tone. If they can keep the tension high and get some more varied environments it'll alright.
  11. Normally I’m all for kickstarting random games, but have grown more weary over the years. I dig the art style and combat looks interesting, but since I haven’t heard of either of the games they’ve created I’ll probably sit this one out.
  12. I've spoken on my gripes about Halo Reach - 5's gameplay issues before so I won't touch on that much. If there is one stark difference between Bungie and 343i its that 343i has awful art design, sound design, and atmosphere. Lets have an awful yellow hexagonal screen overlay whenever your shield is recharging and while you have overshield active. Lets take that same awful hexagon shape and put it all over Zeta Halo and make it the under armor on our spartans. Better yet lets just put it everywhere, looks cool right? Even halowaypoint.com has it all over the screen. Spartan Chatter was not looked upon favorably in Halo 5 and it seems like the personal AI is just a variation of the same thing. I thought it was cool you could switch from Jeff Steitzer to Nathan Fillion or whoever voiced 031 Exuberant Witness so I hope its more in line with that and not Spartan Chatter. I'm fairly confident in saying that the pistol will be the starting weapon and it sounds like an airsoft gun. Battle Pass is cool, Pretty much every battle pass at this point has FOMO issues and this is a unique take on it. They've been doing it with MCC for awhile now, you gain points by completing objectives every week in PvE or PvP as well as having seasonal. You can put the points in whatever you want, current season, last season, or the first. Bots are cool I guess? I really liked the bots in Perfect Dark back in the day because they were actually hard. If its just literally a training ground type of thing then meh.
  13. I don't know if these actually count as forgotten, more just like not talked about much. Metal Arms: Glitch in the System Midtown Madness (specifically 3 for me) Marathon Myth Dino Crisis Phantasmagoria Brute Force (Halo killer lol) Skate or Die Paperboy
  14. I've been watching a ton of Destiny lore videos while I'm going to bed. There is just so much depth there that is almost never presented to the player. It really is a fascinating universe, I just wish so much of it wasn't hidden. Anyways, it prompted me to play through Destiny 1 again. Just for kicks and giggles, but there are some aspects of D1 that I wish they would transfer into D2. I also redownloaded no man's sky as I want to try out this recent update.
  15. He did get the Chrono Sword kickstarter demo. Maybe they will let him get a early look at the game. I did pitch Hyper Light Drifter to him
  16. Area 51: Blacksite was not great, I have a soft spot for Area 51 though. It has a somewhat intriguing story with david duchovney as the main character/narrator. Looking it up apparently it has Nolan North and Marilyn Manson as well. The actual gameplay isn't anything to write home about, but its good enough.
  17. I tried the demo. Wasn't feeling it, its been awhile though I should probably give it a better chance.
  18. While I've done more raiding recently than I ever have, PvP was a big reason I liked Destiny as much as I did. Stasis has ruined it for me.
