Right. The GameCube routinely had better graphics on multiplats than the PS2 but lagged behind the Xbox. The discs weren’t the issue. Do people consider the N64 a failure? That was a little before I started following games online so I don’t know how it was received overall but it’s the system me and all of my friends owned and it’s hands down my favorite console of all time. I knew it lagged behind the PlayStation in sales but I didn’t think it was regarded as a failure.

Huh I had it completely backwards haha. Granted I’m only halfway through book 2. I pictured Moraine as tall and ethereal kinda like Galadriel. And I guess I pictured Lan like Aragorn. Rand I knew was very tall and athletically built. Matt smaller and more slender and Perrin normal tall and built like a linebacker. So at least I got the three boys right lol. although I guess based on the cover of the first book I should have guessed I was way off on Moraine 😂

Which explains why they keep grabbing every new generation as well. Pure nostalgia machine.

Because they’re the GOATs and they figured out several generations ago how to carve out a niche so they don’t have to compete directly with Sony and MS. They make amazingly fun games that are generally always bug free and have little to no competition in the space they’re in. I also believe they don’t sell their hardware at a loss. Although that maybe have changed with the Switch. I’m not sure.

I’m probably in the minority in thinking Val would have been great as Morpheus. -
Did they fix they embarrassingly awful gameplay? No? Cool I’m still good then.

Being hung drawn and quartered always seemed peak unpleasant to me -
Absolutely loved it. I don’t think it’s any more violent than most action movies but it’s way gorier in what they show. Sometimes it’s gross, sometimes it’s funny, sometimes it’s awesome, and sometimes it’s kinda existential? It’s almost like a class in violence haha. I don’t think it’s a fault that it’s mostly silly/crazy and then it pulls you in to care for a little bit before going right back to being silly because that’s who those characters are at their core and it also earns those brief emotional moments. At the end of the day, like the movie or not, it’s another DC movie that’s infinitely more interesting and memorable than anything Marvel has photocopied lately.
