  1. I’m considering what I bought as a preorder. And a deeply discounted one at that- $10!
  2. I have a Series X, and that is the only “next gen” system I might ever get, PC included. I have the Xbox version of the game, which shouldn’t be confusing but is. I’m waiting for whatever their “real next gen version” update is, and then I will play this game.
  3. Cool. Well, that’s what I’ve got. My expectations for this game overall are fairly low.
  4. So I tried this game on Game Pass back when it first came out. The “eh, it’s basically free” aspect of GP made it really easy for me to put the game away after I played for about 15 minutes, in which I explored that starting area, got into the ship, fucked up landing on an another planet, and died. So after a year and a half of hearing how this game is a hard to describe masterpiece, I tried it again. I’ve played it for a few hours now, and I’m starting to get the appeal. My ship’s log is filling up with interesting threads for me to follow no matter where I land. Any initial frustrations I had with getting around have mostly subsided. But I also haven’t had any real “oh shit” moments yet. I’m definitely going to stick with it, because I really want to see how everything ties together.
  5. Yeah, I want to play this on Series X, but I have enough other things to play now, I have no problem waiting months/years for that update.
  6. I squealed when popped up. Like, he’s not such a big star that I thought “how did they get him?” It was just a fun surprise.
  7. I need to go back and watch the full series. I think I stopped after season 2, not for any real reason. Just got distracted with other shows and never went back.
  8. I want a PS5 and a new GPU for my PC, but at this point I’m going to stop looking entirely. I got a Series X, I’m happy with that, so I’ll put the time/money I would spend on those other things towards something else that might fill the emptiness in my life.
  9. I will not claim that this is a perfect movie, but for a Scream sequel in 2022… it’s pretty damn close
  10. This is not to call you out specifically, but I think it’s kinda funny that we can go to work sick, might even be encouraged/ordered to do so, just as long as it isn’t this one specific virus. My supervisor was out for a day because he had this insane cough, but his Covid test came back negative, so he was back to work the next day.
  11. I’ve tried Hitman a few different times and it never really clicked. I skipped to Hitman 2 to see if I maybe enjoyed that one more. Maybe I should just admit that I don’t enjoy the series all that much… Or I’ll buy 3, import 1 and 2, and try it all again.
  12. Sometimes it can be helpful to try 4-5 new letters per word. Even if your guess is completely wrong, that eliminates a lot of letters at once.
  13. Exactly. Admitted sex pest Louis C.K. recently released a special that he recorded with an audience of over 5,000 people. To a certain extent, these guys are bulletproof. Yeah, he might not be able get steady work on a network sitcom or something like that, but he can keep doing standup and people will show up.
  14. I haven’t subbed for a while. I quit when I realized that I didn’t even bother redeeming 75% of the keys I was getting each month, and rarely playing the ones I redeemed.
  15. I don’t think I’ve ever seen any of these in full, just glimpses on cable. The one that always haunted me is the kid who pops like a water balloon when a massive piece of plate glass falls on him.
  16. That was one of the only books I actually finished last year. It was great! I planned to read more by him, but my reading habits have really tanked the last few years.
  17. Seeing @dualhuntermention them got me back into the Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters. I’m a decent way into 2 now. If I ever played an earlier version of this game, I don’t remember it at all. It’s fun, but I don’t know how much I like the class-less characters. My crew all just kinda do everything. If I get to a point in the late game where I really need specialization, I’m going to be frustrated.
  18. Agreed. The action set pieces are still some of the best around, but that movie is like an hour longer than it needs to be.
  19. This news has me rewatching the movie, and man. Again, I’m not against all remakes on principle or anything like that. But The Raid works as well as it does because it is lean and mean. I would love to be proven wrong, but I’m having a hard time imagining the director of such films as The Hitman’s Bodyguard making something this raw.
