  1. Me and the six other people in the theater were all respectfully silent.
  2. Well this finally came out! I think this one compares pretty evenly to the last one. I can’t think of anything particularly good or bad to say about it.
  3. I wish I was a little bit taller. I wish I was a baller. I initially had a much longer post that was way too real, and y’all are not my therapist.
  4. Did they add a slider to adjust how often you hear “Now it’s Reyn time!”?
  5. I enjoyed the first Xenoblade back on the Wii, but not enough to finish it (or play the sequel). If the remaster and/or sequel gets a nice sale at some point (not holding my breath), I’ll give the series another shot.
  6. Advance Wars and Chrono Cross at the same time is a bit of a nostalgia overload for me. Kirby looks great, my niece is gonna lose her mind over that Mario Kart pass, I might try Earthbound yet again to see if it finally clicks with me. Good stuff!
  7. It’s almost admirable how this movie starts dumb, and just triples down on stupid over its runtime. If you know what you’re getting into, there’s fun to be had.
  8. Macbeth got some technical nominations, so it qualified. I think the official release was Christmas.
  9. Hell yeah. I generally love Garland’s work, and Jessie Buckley rules. I’m in for… whatever this is.
  10. Well, it’s barely a comedy, so maybe that helps? It does have that “Important!” label, and it seems like Adam McKay has become one of those guys that will just keep getting nominated as long as he’s making movies like this (star-studded issues-based dramedies).
  11. Power of the Dog seems like such a front-runner at this point, it would almost be a boring win (for a great movie). There’s a possibility of Don’t Look Up taking it in a Green Book-like upset. The only other nominee that seems remotely likely is Belfast, a fine movie that’s traditional Oscar Bait.
  12. I didn’t really set out to do it, (I have an AMC A-List subscription and ample free time) but the only Best Picture nominee I haven’t seen yet is Drive My Car, and that’s because it hasn’t started playing here yet.
  13. I gave myself three weeks off work to prepare for my last move. I spent two and a half of those weeks playing Overwatch, then spent three manic days getting rid of everything in my apartment. Fun times.
  14. Yeah, Plemons is in the "always good" category. He was left out of a lot of other lists that the other performances in that movie made, so it's nice to see him get in there. But my pick in that category is Troy Kotsur. He is a goddamn delight in CODA.
  15. I know you don't care. https://deadline.com/2022/02/oscar-nominations-list-of-nominees-1234928251/ Full list (spoiler for formatting)
  16. I had fun with the original back on the Vita. I'll probably end up grabbing this one.
  17. Black Bear- I like watching Aubrey Plaza do something different, but I don’t think the movie really worked for me overall. It’s almost like a mumblecore thriller, which seems really hard to pull off, but I appreciate the effort. Pig - I like it when Nic Cage takes a break from being a living meme and does some real work. Interesting look at the Portland food scene, which I can only imagine is 100% accurate. Lamb - Just kidding. I didn’t watch this, just wanted to list a third recent animal movie title.
  18. I love/hate that even though you messed up the link, I know exactly what comic this is.
  19. I think I’m near the end of Metroid Dread (got the power bombs). I’m still missing a bunch of the collectibles, but I’ve never been much of a completionist.
