  1. I guess you're trying to say that gaming is getting too expensive?
  2. Oof, please don't get a 4Runner unless you REALLY need one. How much are you budgeting for gas, @best3444? 4Runners get 16 MPG city and 19 highway, which is pretty bad, especially vs. a RAV4's 27 city and 35 highway, which is itself bad vs. a Camry (51 city, 53 highway).
  3. FWIW, I like the looks of it too, but the charging is pretty bad if you ever plan on road tripping with it. 10-80% in 43 minutes is significantly worse than cars from Hyundai, Kia, etc. that will do that in 18 minutes, and I suspect these numbers will continue to drop on other cars. Not a big deal if you're going to be charging it mostly at home though.
  4. All for different positions, or are they making you do five or six interviews for one position?!
  5. Awesome, congrats on the opportunity! Are you going to have much free time while there, or will even the weekends be pretty packed, as far as you know? I'm mostly just wondering if you'll have a chance to go to a show in Vegas, or drive over to the Hoover Dam, for example; both of which you should definitely do if you can, IMO!
  6. I think it may also be a factor for some people that it's a simpler explanation to just say "group X is in charge and pulling the strings" than to take the effort to truly fully understand the issue, its causes and effects, the multitude of forces and people interacting, etc.
  7. Agreed, well-put. Even if the guy was recorded somewhere saying "if I wind up dead, it wasn't suicide", that isn't proof of anything. People change their minds, make drastic decisions in low moments, etc. It may not look good for Boeing to sue them though.
  8. Hail to the Chief? Sorry man, that's really awful.
  9. Hmmm, reconsidering my interest in an Ioniq 5. Oh wait, I have a Steam Deck.
  10. I love Conan! This might finally convince me to get Max.
  11. Yeah the Hyundai and Kia EVs do also come with free charging, whether purchasing or leasing. It used to be two years of free charging; supposedly it was limited to a 30-minute charging session, but you could just unplug and plug back in and it was fine. Now they're doing a limit of 1000 kWh. As someone who doesn't drive THAT much and who would probably mostly charge at work, I actually prefer the new method, though I suppose potentially you could get less juice that way overall.
  12. What do you get if you run (Windows Key + R) "winver"?
  13. @Bacon have you run the Windows Update Troubleshooter? Hit the Windows key and just type "troubleshoot" and then select the first option (likely with "System settings" underneath). In the troubleshooter, on the left select "Windows Update" and then you'll see a button that says "Run the troubleshooter".
  14. @SaysWho? will say who is engaged or not. w00t w00t, congrats!
  15. Once you have the error code we can look into it to see if there is a known solution, but yeah probably the easiest way is just a fresh install.
  16. Happy Birthday, @Keyser_Soze!
  17. I really don't care for the looks of the R3 or R3X, personally. I love the retro looks of the Hyundai Ioniq 5, but I think these two might be "a bridge too far", personally. Maybe they look better in person, but from what I've seen in pictures and videos they look way too 70s or early 80s for my taste. It's also kind of worrying that the R2 isn't even coming out until 2026 and the R3 "after that" (TBD when, exactly) and the R3X "after the R3" (again, TBD). Competition in the EV space is really heating up and the market could look totally different in two or more years until these release.
  18. To be fair, it does sound better than "Retired-But-Not-By-My-Own-Choice-Admiral Jackson".
  19. Yeah the upgrades are all really awesome, I'm even more pumped for the car now. Especially the OTA updates! With how software-dependent everything is these days, it seems obvious that you should have infrastructure in place to be able to patch it remotely, but apparently not until 2025! I'd heard rumors too that the 2025 Ioniq 5 may have a NACS port as standard and include a CCS adapter, vs. its current standard CCS port. Nothing I've seen covering yesterday's announcement mentioned it, but the event took place in Korea where, to my understanding, they use yet another connector so that's not surprising I guess. Either way I guess it'll be a while until things switch over fully to NACS. I'd also heard rumors that wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay were missing from older models because of licensing costs, but yeah I suppose we'll never get that officially confirmed. I took my old Prius into a mechanic today and they told me that it just needed some relatively minor work (ignition coils and spark plugs) that was around $350 to fix, so it's hanging on for a while yet. I'm hoping to get it across the magic threshold of 300,000 miles or, if not that, at least until the 2025 Ioniq 5s releases this summer!
