  1. Pure streaming seems a little annoying to me. Although I might be a bit more interested if they were doing hybrid cloud/local compute and leveraging web assembly for fast local computation.
  2. There is little doubt that I will replay one of my favorite RPGs of all time in next gen mode with RTX, 4K, and HDR.
  3. FWIW, my Spotify says I added in January 2020, which isn't too long after the show, but I think that's basically immediately after it was released. I think Spotify should add a way to have you alerted when music you're waiting for is actually released because it's a pain constantly searching every month and releases there are often kind of silent.
  4. Oh yeah, I don't mean the character Thor. I just mean that Jane Foster is going to going to go from being a normy-human to super powered, and the physical change in appearance is a good visual approach to highlight that she's not the same anymore, even if it's not "required" by the crazy comic physics. It is a visual medium, so having a visual cue seems appropriate to me.
  5. In this case, her character has already appeared on screen in her normal form, so I think it makes sense for her to bulk up to match the transformation her character will go through.
  6. That was an awesome episode. This has been the best of the MCU shows. I hope they don't fuck it all up in the final episode!
  7. If it's something you want, I wouldn't give up yet! And if it really matters to you and you can't find someone you want to do it with, adoption is a fantastic compassionate option that can radically change someone's life for the better!
  8. It has been a deliberate choice to not have children I have no doubt I would love my children if I had them, but that's kind of the issue. The result of that love is they would dominate my life and fill it with anxiety. Psychologically, I would be more fulfilled without children.
  9. Were it not for the pandemic, I'd say now. Most financially comfortable I've been with those years in shit-paying academia finally paying off; own a house with my wonderful wife; work from home doing what I love; have developed the expertise to be respected by my professional community. Now if we can just stave off dangerous vaccine-resistant covid variants by getting the world immunized fast enough, I'll be in good shape! That all said, various time periods in my life have had different unique aspects that I'd glad enjoyed. But everything post high school > childhood years. Not because I had a bad childhood, but because life is infinitely more interesting as an adult and the pre-college school system is otherwise a barely better than a waste of time that needs to be drastically redesigned (and probably better funded).
  10. Ah nice! I ended up just watching on AS's website last night when it aired. It didn't look like they were going to do that, but once this clock hit 11, it appeared.
  11. If you don't have cable, how are people watching it? I think my fallback is just buy the season on Amazon Prime (not like I mind owning it either), but I'm curious if there are better/cheaper ways?
  12. Not sure I agree about putting it there. One of the most fun experiences was
  13. I guess it depends on exactly what you mean, but I have this feeling that "more focus" would mean a direction that is antithetical to everything that I thought made BotW a standout exceptional game Pretty sure I've ranted about what I loved before, but to elaborate, key to BotW's excellence was that the main quest was mostly "optional." In principle, and if you were good enough, you could fight and defeat Ganon very close to the start of the game. However, if you explored and did the other threads, it would make you more capable of taking on Ganon when you did fight him. What that meant is the "quests" had direct and actual utility to your mission, rather than just being things to do because the story says you should.
