  1. In this case, her character has already appeared on screen in her normal form, so I think it makes sense for her to bulk up to match the transformation her character will go through.
  2. That was an awesome episode. This has been the best of the MCU shows. I hope they don't fuck it all up in the final episode!
  3. If it's something you want, I wouldn't give up yet! And if it really matters to you and you can't find someone you want to do it with, adoption is a fantastic compassionate option that can radically change someone's life for the better!
  4. It has been a deliberate choice to not have children I have no doubt I would love my children if I had them, but that's kind of the issue. The result of that love is they would dominate my life and fill it with anxiety. Psychologically, I would be more fulfilled without children.
  5. Were it not for the pandemic, I'd say now. Most financially comfortable I've been with those years in shit-paying academia finally paying off; own a house with my wonderful wife; work from home doing what I love; have developed the expertise to be respected by my professional community. Now if we can just stave off dangerous vaccine-resistant covid variants by getting the world immunized fast enough, I'll be in good shape! That all said, various time periods in my life have had different unique aspects that I'd glad enjoyed. But everything post high school > childhood years. Not because I had a bad childhood, but because life is infinitely more interesting as an adult and the pre-college school system is otherwise a barely better than a waste of time that needs to be drastically redesigned (and probably better funded).
  6. Ah nice! I ended up just watching on AS's website last night when it aired. It didn't look like they were going to do that, but once this clock hit 11, it appeared.
  7. If you don't have cable, how are people watching it? I think my fallback is just buy the season on Amazon Prime (not like I mind owning it either), but I'm curious if there are better/cheaper ways?
  8. Not sure I agree about putting it there. One of the most fun experiences was
  9. I guess it depends on exactly what you mean, but I have this feeling that "more focus" would mean a direction that is antithetical to everything that I thought made BotW a standout exceptional game Pretty sure I've ranted about what I loved before, but to elaborate, key to BotW's excellence was that the main quest was mostly "optional." In principle, and if you were good enough, you could fight and defeat Ganon very close to the start of the game. However, if you explored and did the other threads, it would make you more capable of taking on Ganon when you did fight him. What that meant is the "quests" had direct and actual utility to your mission, rather than just being things to do because the story says you should.
  10. It's no secret that I'm an atheist but this does not seem like a compelling argument at all. A lot of people's religious beliefs come from what they feel is true about the world as a starting point. So lets take that starting point that you believe a God something like the Christian God exists. From that belief you may be inclined to believe that some miraculous events did in indeed occur in human history. But that belief in itself in no way demands you also believe some very specific religion and interpretation largely constructed over hundreds of years is an absolute perfect reflection of the prior events and the ultimate will of God. It's very easy to believe that there could have been some things lost and others inserted into churches for arbitrary reasons. In fact the diversity of churches that all supposedly come from the some place kind of requires that this has happened to some extent. So obviously I think neither relaxed beliefs in God nor strict adherence to some specific church are correct, but neither is on a stronger ground than the other either.
  11. Hey now, lets be fair. They showed about 3 seconds of the old FF XVI trailer in the final montage!
  12. A big disappointment for my wife, because the Fable series is one of her all-time favorite game series.
  13. I didn't see the whole thing; did they show anything on the new Fable?
  14. Interesting. Skyrim was released on 11/11/11; this one is then exactly 11 years later on 11/11/22.
