  1. Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus - Standard Edition Saturnalia https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/ Genesis Alpha One Deluxe Edition GOG.com WWW.GOG.COM Download the best classic and new games on Windows, Mac & Linux. 2. Finished Resident Evil 3 Remake 3 times. Originally I was just going to do 1 replay on Assisted but I decided to try Standard and then I started unlocking stuff from the shop. Beating the hardest difficult with S rank seems like too much of a pain (auto save is disabled) and even on Assisted not using the item box at all is too much of a pain (no getting my infinite rocket launcher or coins) so this is where I stop. Nightmare was my first S rank run.
  3. You have to point Steam to the other drive for it to see the games as installed. So in addition to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\... you should have the same thing on D or whatever the other drive is, so in the Steam settings you can add that path to get it to look there. You can also copy and paste the game folders somewhere else and point Steam to the new location (or skip that if you put them in the main folder on the C drive). If it doesn't automatically show up as installed even though it's point to the right folder, trying to install should fix it and the install will take seconds since the files are already there. If it still tries to download the whole thing the wrong path to the folder was added.
  4. Finished the normal route in Omori. Most of the game is cheery but there are horror elements. The jump scares don't really work and my opinion at the moment is that the devs are sick bastards. I'm planning to do a replay of Resident Evil 3 before trying the other route in Omori to see if it makes more sense.
  5. In a generation or two, GPUs will be so big you'll just plug your peripherals into your GPU instead of having a separate motherboard
  6. Yes. Only issue I had was Microsoft can install whatever they want via Microsoft Store so Spotify was installed and started to open on it's own at start up with no obvious option to change that besides uninstalling so I did that. Just installed the 22H2 update.
  7. Master of Magic Classic on GOG. Runbow and The Drone Racing League are free on EGS.
  8. Finished Kharon's Crypt - Even Death May Die. It's like a horror themed Game Boy Color Zelda game (even defaults to GBC borders) but just the dungeons. Much of it is very good if you like that sort of game but it's often a real pain. Kharon is a spirit so you have to use projectiles to stun enemies and take over their bodies to do most things like fight (you can't hurt enemies but they can hurt you) and open chests. It takes a lot of shots to stun an enemy and they like to move out of line. They also chase you and if there's not much space it can be a pain to get far enough away to get a shot. You have an ability to avoid damage and falling in pits but it uses limited energy. Possessed bodies have their own health, once the body is destroyed you can get another (more enemies will spawn during boss fights and an enemy should drop into the room if you need a body to leave the room). One on one, as long as you have space you can generally easily get a new body without losing any of Kharon's health but it's tricky when 3 are chasing you and you might need to stun all of them just so that you can get 1 body. If the body's almost dead it's often a good idea to either abandon it before switching screens if there an enemy on the next screen you can use or take damage to get rid of it and then turn invincible so that you can get away from the enemy that destroyed your body so that you can stun it and get a new body. Humanoid enemies usually have weapons but the range tends to suck so you tend to get hit a lot while attacking. Unfortunately nobody plays the game so if you get stuck you're on your own. You can buy a map for each floor but there are lots of secret rooms. Everything you need for completion isn't too tough to find, there'll be a crack on the wall to let you know to bomb it, but for many of the secret rooms there won't be. I only had 83% completion and I even went back looking for hidden stuff and didn't find much. There were a couple puzzles I found that were brute force with trial and error and the clues were either vague or non-existent. There were a couple side quests where I couldn't find any clues and the only thing a Google search turned up was a post by the dev mentioning that there were a few side quests. At least the stuff required for progression wasn't too tough. The thing that annoyed me the most were the bosses especially the last 2. Boss health bars go across the screen so it can be time consuming especially when you're being chased by regular enemies, dodging bullet hell style projectiles and other hazards (the last 2 will drop blocks that imprison you for a while, the boss keeps shooting projectiles at you while you're stuck in the box, you have an item that can get you out if there is a regular enemy outside the box). I tried the last boss a couple times last night and stopped. It technically wasn't a rage quit since I was completely calm. I just didn't want to deal with another annoying boss and I was considering just stopping there (you find story pages, talk to spirits and the final boss talks a bit but the story isn't all the great so there was no really wanting to know what happens). I gave it another go today and was eventually able to defeat the last boss. Naturally there was a second form but other spirits (the ones from the side quests that I did manage to finish so you probably need to finish at least one) show up with health refills when you're low on health so even though the boss was a pain as usual, flying away, shooting projectiles from every direction, turning the screen dark, etc I was able to finish that fight first try. Were it not for that I might have simply quit rather than have to go through the first form of the final boss again. So overall, I'll say it was good but don't play it unless you really like the genre and are either prepared to deal with some bad design or are so good the game ends up being easy for you despite all the above.
  9. Started Kharon's Crypt. Basically a dungeon only 2D Zelda.
  10. Finished TMNT Hyper Stone Heist (GEN), Turtles in Time (SNES), The Arcade Game (Arcade) and Turtles in Time (Arcade) to finish off the Cowabunga Collection.
  11. No, but back in the day I played a ton of Street Fighter 2 (mostly SNES). Also liked Killer Instinct and played the first 3 Mortal Kombats. Didn't keep up after that. I got the PS2 Street Fighter 2 Collection but barely played it so I never bothered with newer collections of sequels. I played the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Tournament Fighters (NES, SNES and Genesis) over the weekend since they're part of the Cowabunga Collection.
  12. Finished TMNT 2: The Arcade Game (NES) on the Cowabunga Collection. I forgot to check the collection's enhancements beforehand so I missed out on God Mode and had to abuse the rewind feature instead. It really is arcade level cheap. Back in the day I finished it with the code for 10 lives plus level select but playing through the whole game with rewind any time I took damage gave me a better idea of how to avoid damage. The attack using both the attack and jump buttons at the same time is hard to trigger on the collection, at least when using a Switch Pro Controller. Finished TMNT 3: The Manhattan Project. The unlimited lives enhancement made it relaxing but the 2 button special attack was often hard to trigger making it difficult to abuse. At least with unlimited lives you can just stand still and mash both buttons to do normal attacks with the occasional special attack.
  13. Finished the 3 Game Boy TMNT games and the 3 versions of TMNT: Tournament Fighters (if you want the achievement for the Genesis version, you have to do it on difficulty 8, don't believe people who say 6 is sufficient) on the Cowabunga Collection.
  14. Finished TMNT (NES, Cowabunga Collection). Now I remember why I didn't find the underwater part that bad back in the day, just take advantage of having 4 life bars. Of course that's probably why I would always die in the next level except the time I used the Game Genie. Even with a save state slot and the rewind it was still often a pain but I got it done.
  15. Finished Hatchwell. If you like 2D Zelda games, get it. It was a bit weird getting through most of the game without any issues and then encountering a few bugs. After the last regular dungeon, you have to evacuate some villagers but one of the houses seemed bugged, 1 person was there but not the two to evacuate and when I returned the two were there but they refused to evacuate and the dialog after that seemed to fit earlier in the game. It's possible that I just did something in the wrong order, but even though the game is good, apparently nobody plays it (i.e. there don't seem to be any guides) so I couldn't find out whether I just had to advance the story so I kept a save and finished the rest of the game. After finishing the game I loaded the earlier save and the game froze (no freezes or crashes before that) so I had to Alt F4 and start the game again. I got the villages to evacuate right away before going to all the other but there was one last achievement for getting them all to safety that didn't trigger. The final dungeon and boss fights were much quicker the second time. After finishing the game again I loaded my last save and that last achievement triggered. Other than that it was great.
  16. Got the bivalent booster. The proof for traveling specifies the vaccine but the one for within the province that the app uses just says Unspecified COVID-19 Vaccine.
  17. The Canadian $20 bill used to stand out because it was the only one where the person on it was still alive. Now they all have dead people on them.
  18. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection on Steam. Thanks.
