  1. If you can't wait, go with something cheaper for now. It looks like Thermaltake's ATX 3.0 PSU are available but the others are coming soon. No sense going all out if you're not getting a PSU with the new GPU connectors (so you can avoid dealing with adapters) so if you can't wait, get something cheaper to use temporarily or get one of the new Thermaltake PSUs.
  2. Finished the Intermission part of Final Fantasy VII Remake. Just have Weiss left in the main part now.
  3. We gave some office space and a laptop to a nephew of an employee who has since died and his wife worked for us. Years later I heard from another coworker that he had beat his wife and she later died. The other coworker saw it on the news and confirmed it with the uncle before he died.
  4. Since you're not getting it right away, change the power supply, ATX 3.0 PSUs seem to have been delayed a bit since they were due by the end of 2022 but they should be out soon. That PSU is overkill for that video card anyway.
  5. Finished Final Fantasy VII Remake including Hard Mode, still have Intermission to do though.
  6. FYI, I got the Director's Cut before it was pulled and I was able to also get the regular edition just now.
  7. Not all of them. Main page is fine but I can't access my wishlist or discovery queue. I can view but not vote for awards.
  8. King of Seas on GOG GOG.com WWW.GOG.COM Download the best classic and new games on Windows, Mac & Linux. A vast selection of titles, DRM-free, with free goodies and 30-day money-back guarantee.
  9. Yeah, it's great. After you finish the game, the new game plus includes a chapter select if you missed anything. If you care about Earthborn, getting the true ending in Earthborn can be tough.
  10. When I started typing it had only been 4 like that for me, it displayed a name (somebody starting with TwitchTV) before going back to numbers on the next one.
  11. It's only 63 minutes and the first half was pretty boring but then it got ridiculous and made up for the beginning.
  12. I mostly use a 1TB SATA drive from my old build since I already had games installed on it and I've mostly been playing indie and older games. Battlefield V loads much faster my 2TB NVME drive than it did on my old build running off SATA. I barely played it so the new CPU & RAM and patches may have contributed to the speed up as well, I just remember it taking forever to start when I first got it and it being much better when I tried again with the new build. If you have a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 port you could try a USB Game Drive but if it's just for stuff you play less often it might better to get SATA drive that will still be much better than your old external drives WD_BLACK P40 Game Drive USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Portable SSD Review: Balanced Storage WWW.ANANDTECH.COM .
  13. Finished Landstalker. I heard about it back when I played Alundra when somebody recommended it. It was an earlier game by the same dev on Genesis and is similar but simpler. It was enjoyable but I don't think I'd have liked it on Genesis. The game is rotated so that it's diagonal and that can make movement a pain at times. On the Sega Mega Drive & Genesis Classics version you have save states and rewind so it's much easier to enjoy. Also finished Toejam & Earl.
  14. Played some Unreal Tournament (UT99) for the first time in years. There's a fan patch and you can download 4K textures (like the old S3TC/DXTC textures on the 2nd disc of the original release but better). Though the geometry is simple, the game still looks great with those textures. I even played a map I made over 20 years ago and some unfinished maps I made.
  15. Finished Return of the Dark Sorcerer which is a hack of Final Fantasy VI. It's basically like a remix of FFVI, most areas are the same but there a some changes and new areas. The world maps are completely rearranged and except for Mog all the characters have been replaced. Some of the new characters resemble the originals and some are from other FF games. So the main story was familiar despite the changes but some characters are found in different places in the second world. Overall it was an interesting experience but making changes to FFVI means many of them will make things worse. Lots of music from different games but again, at the cost of the original soundtrack. I missed a few things but I'm not sure if I'll bother with them or take advantage of the New Game + feature.
  16. I only played them on Virtual Console. You could try checking the VC games list for ideas, you'll have to figure out which ones are CD but at least you can get an idea of what the games are like and the games that got a VC release are more likely to have reviews to help you decide what to get. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Virtual_Console_games_for_Wii_(North_America)#TurboGrafx-16/TurboGrafx-CD https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Virtual_Console_games_for_Wii_(Japan)#PC_Engine
  17. The Dynastic Hero (Wonderboy in Monster World with different graphics and soundtrack) and Ys Book I&II.
  18. Started Return of the Dark Sorcerer, a hack of Final Fantasy VI. The beginning follows the opening of FFVI with some added scenes (Professor Oak replaces Cid and there was a metroid in the empire's esper tanks), Terra is replaced by Aurora and gets rescued by Cloud (including 16 bit FFVII music) instead of Locke. Cloud has a Swordtech/Bushido style attack meter called Limit. The Moogles have new names and portraits. Narshe is now Fraust but the layout is the mostly the same so far. The world map is very different, I stopped outside Durandal so I don't know if it looks just like Figaro Castle. The world map theme is a mix of Final Fantasy IV and Dragon Quest I world map themes. There a tons of references to and music from different games. So far it's pretty cool.
