Launch window is with in 4-6 months of launch but I could see this being a Feb/Mar release.

Consoles tend to rely on old tech and haven't really been cutting edge for a while. PS5 isn't pulling anything new out of thin air that wasn't already somewhat around in the PC space for a while. It's just putting it together in a cost effective bundle that will allow devs to target exploiting every inch of it and not just 60% for the sake of compatibility and OS overhead. As for other shit said, All system launches come in hot. Even the fucking DS was that way. Covid had some affect in launch production in terms of resource/part prep but not unit manufacturing as that tends to kick in later. Covid did affect software the most and we're seeing that impact as devs learn to adjust.

No they didn't come out in the west sadly. I own the DSi LE they released in japan that includes the game. There is a fan english patch out there as well.

He went on the store the day of release before the store update kicked in, was pissed he wasn't in the featured section of new releases and plain skipped over going to all new releases where his game was listed at the top. He also knew he was going to be listed/featured on playstation blog but didn't mention that in his rant about discoverability. Sure the search sucks but that is an issue of indexing which takes up to 12h-24h to fully kick in. If you search now you'll find it near the top. Now before you say it should already be indexed, Beloved Apple has the same fucking issue (*). Sony manages their own servers and for security reasons dev/test PSN is fully separated from public PSN and games are not pushed to Public PSN till the day before and has to get instanced across their server network which are distributed in many locations. (*) In apples case if you push a new app for app store review and it gets approved. Once you push it to be listed on the store it takes 1-3 days before it properly shows up in search. Your app could be composed of 5 words and even if you type out 4 of those words and nobody else has anything remotely close you still might not find your app until the type is an exact match and even then you still won't be the first item on the list.

Launch systems always tend to be in short supply, sans the PS3 (lol). Yet there was word that they were upping production runs and I personally had no issue scoring around 4 PS4 at launch for my coworkers. Yet this makes me think it's going to be even worse than normal.

My god, this is going to be a ***king mess this year. MS should really make a last min change to their Series X boxes. Only one of those versions actually includes the enhanced version for X. The other will only run the XBO version when played on a Series X.

While it's nice they're coming to the switch it's worth pointing out that the Taiko Drum Master games are just ports of 3DS games (there were 3 in total). The saga stuff is cool but i'm a bit sad they didn't port the 3D remakes of 2 & 3 from DS. They'll most likely be up for sale on Amazon.jp, Namco tends to do more production runs every time a new title comes out.

IMO: S gets delayed to feb/mar and is $350-$400. X is $500-$550. Ps5 Digital is $430-$450. Ps5 is $500-$550. There is already an Xbox 1 refresh showing up in a retail system for $300.

The trailer was ok but man that song choice was really stupid. At least the VO fit better than the Avengers game. I know someone mention why not a JL, To be honest after the next SQ movie hits I think the IP is going to be a lot more popular.
