TikTok is no bigger a security threat then FB's empire, or Apple or Google or Amazon.... The issue is countries don't trust that they can reign or control the platform due to it's parent company being chinese.

Same as PS4 Pro boost mode. I'm not sure I follow. There are two versions of Spiderman you can buy for ps5, just Miles or the delux with remaster. That will be the same offer online. The question is if they let you buy the remastered version on it's own without buying miles (possibly, probably?). I do think it's a bit of a dick move/sucky to not allow those who own spiderman already to purchase an upgrade for the ps5 version (when other publishers are) but it's not like sony made any of their ps3 -> ps4 remasters get a free upgrade.

I’m going with optics but to be honest it’s in MS & Sony’s best interest to make as many of the more expensive systems because what ever they make this year will sell out. Next year will be telling if for Sony the DE was just another 20gb Ps3 so they could claim a lower price for ads. -edit- to add DE units pretty much sold out instantly and for Canada I know on other forums people were not happy they couldn’t get that model.

I hope the combat is more ARPG this time around. I know there are people out there that loved the previous MHS on 3DS but I didn't find the combat very enjoyable.

I posted about this in the XBX thread. This is going to be a long term problem with them going proprietary. -.- I'm sure PS5 compatible SSD are also going to be outrageously expensive they should come down in price after a while since they will be the same ones sold for the PC market.

PS2 has PS1 hardware, It wasn't emulator till slim models. There was some issues at launch for older games because there was actually 2 GPU variants in the ps1 but after launch all PS1 games had to be compatible with the PS2 (I know this because I had to do this on titles I worked on). PS5 has PS4 BC build into it's hardware (See Cerny's video) but I agree there is always the chance for quirks. That's just normal (even XB has quirks in it's BC).

As mentioned in the other thread I locked up a Digital Ed last night. I'm quite happy to grab one even if I don't keep it in the end. I'm kind of shocked how limited the DE version really is. It's starting to feel like a 20GB PS3 all over again. (Yeah I have one of those). I'm probably going to get hurt in the long run with a digital only system since I can't get physical media on sale but I think I'll just get a unit with a drive sometime in the future when a refresh happens or they drop in price. So for at launch the digital should be fine, specially with all the PS+ games being given out (I'm so far behind on my PS4 backlog that I haven't played or purchased a lot of those games).

TBH, Nothing sony says is going to convince you when you're not willing to be convinced in the first place. If there is a case of a digital ps4 title not being downloadable on the PS5 it's not sony and just the publisher being an ass.

Just a minor update for canadians but I see the DE model is now out of stock for both walmart.ca & thesource.ca. Both still have the disc model in stock.

Just for bestbuy. Once you factor in Walmart, EBGames, Amazon, The Source and a few other retailers I wouldn't be shocked if Canada only gets 100k-150k PS5 units for launch day.
