Metroid Metroid Metroid (3ds) sometimes I feel like I missed a powerup I should have already but missed. It did happen onetime where I was missing the spring ball for a sizable amount of time. -.-

Ooo photos later but surprise package today. Surprise in mostly that today everything is closed due to holiday landing on Sunday (July 1st for Canada day) So I did not expect any packages today. I got 5 neo cd games in but 3 are dups to what I have (the set was 980y before shipping and proxy fees). The non dups I keep are kof 94 and real bout ff. The dups are fatal fury 3, Sam sho 2 & 3. I’ll probably offload the dups to a local retro store. My neo cd collection is starting to get big, I’m at 17 games so far yet there is still so much I don’t have.

Yeah don’t collapse retro, I feel it has less to do with general game chat. We end up talking more about pickups and what we have then the games it self.

So here is my retro setup. I more try to keep my collection clean and out of sight. I tend to play HD stuff in the bedroom where the HD tv is. I tend to keep the systems i'm not playing stored away in their box to keep them from getting dusty/faded (I caught my jpn n64 starting to yellow last time I left it out). Also since I try to keep my games grouped in plastic bins, I tend to take what i'm not touching down to my locker (so much of my ps3/ps2/psp/ds/xbox/saturn collection is kept there). I'll post photos of the rest later if there is interest. =P

That is way too expensive for what it's worth. You're best buying up an old cocktail cab on ebay and restoring it. It would be far more rewarding and a hell of a lot cheaper. Jpn Candy cabs are the best... My wife keeps pestering me to sell mine since it sits in storage unused. It sits there because I need to work on it and don't have the time atm.

All the talk of Sega Mickey games recently made me decide to play my Castle/Land of Illusion games. I never really played these two back to back before but Land is a lot more polished then I remembered. I also played Moon Walker and bunch of other MS games afterwards.

I kind of suck at mini series collections. I always want to do it but end up not following through 2/3 of the way through. =/

yeah as noted the international version is the black/grey unit. I'm sure someone will figure out how to hack the damn thing if you want the jpn one. On a side note I came to my senses and canceled my preorder because I've gotten too many other things recently and need to scale back again. Plus I still want to one day build a mini table top cabinet instead and that will be far more worth having.

so I've taken a dark turn. I feel like this is an old gamer's version of buying a Cadillac mid life. Sadly my games are still on the way but got held up in customs. I picked up about 6ish games but their mostly the dirt cheap gets (ie under $50). I'll hold off on saying what they are till they show up. I did at least give the stick a go last night on my Neo CD and man really the sticks just feel so much better then the pad (but that mostly is because I grew up on the arcade versions over consoles). If anybody is wondering I did get the unit for cheaper then normal for NG but knowing the fact it might or might not need some repair (but it did come from japan and not through ebay so these tend to have better odds of being just fine as some store resellers just post them as junk and don't bother if they don't have the power/av cables). on that castle of illusion (I really need to find a copy, just waiting till I come across one locally that is complete in box). I spent so much time playing that game when I was younger.

I find it crazy the OS side looks laggy and little janky. Yet when it switches to the actual games they run super smooth and look very responsive.

You can always flee north. There is big demand for nurses up here. =)

After shipping and pre-tax it's 14,470 Yen or about $132 USD. I think $100 USD for the system (pre-tax) is a pretty good price for what it offers. Good good, I've sadly noticed a few times some retro shops trying to sell pal releases at NA prices for a few games. =/ I do love that MS games are the same between PAL/NA. There are just soo many great games we never got that PAL has.

Just some Neo CD stuff. I recently bought some grease to fix my Neo CD (it was sometimes not recognizing game disc when you first turned it on). Now with the rail greased up it works like a charm. =)

@CastlevaniaNut18 Nice pickups. I still need to grab Shadow Dancer some day =/ Also I hope you got that Mickey for cheap. I only say that because it's the european print and not the usa print (usa print goes for more due to late release). MS rendition is fantastic, I've got both mickey MS games.

Finally, I can post this here!! I've got some more Neo Geo love on the way -edit- The game is actually pretty good with the Neo CD pad. It plays less fidgety.
