So that explains why the Sparkle 2 sale ended randomly on the Vita store while everything else remained on sale. Glad I didn't buy it as I was considering it. Forgot all about Qube, always wanted to play that one after seeing a Giant Bomb quick look on it. Guess I'll be able to now.

General Gaming RIP in Peace, Amazon Prime 20% Pre-Order Discount
vaxick replied to Commissar SFLUFAN's topic in The Spawn Point
So they raised the price of Prime and now are slowly stripping away the benefits of Prime. Great service. I used to shop at Amazon a lot, but their are less reasons to these days. Other stores are just as agressive on pricing now and honestly, I'd rather buy elsewhere instead of giving my money to Jeff Bezos when possible. -
I found it to be fairly solid, but it was jarring getting to the halfway point and the game suddenly feel like it was made by a whole different team.

It was a day 1 purchase for me. Loved Shenmue back in the day and probably spent too much backing Shenmue 3, but hey, at least I'm getting Yu Suzuki's autograph.

Consumer Technology What steaming devices do you guys use?
vaxick replied to erehwon's topic in The Performing Arts Centre
Roku Stick and PS4, but moreso the Roku Stick now that Sony no longer allows you to access streaming apps directly on the XMB, but rather have to open up a slugglish app to get to what service you want. -
Tempting, but pricing will play a major factor into if it's an impulse buy. $60 would be the ideal price for me. https://www.polygon.com/2018/7/23/17605438/c64-mini-thec64-mini-release-date-us

Nintendo Amazon as an SNES-styled 3DS XL up for $150 right now.
vaxick replied to Jason's topic in The Spawn Point
I'm in the same camp. I'd like a new 3DS to have the improved 3D screen, but I haven't touched my 3DS in well over a year, so I'm waiting for them to hit $100. -
Sony PlayStation 4 controller - rubber degradation
vaxick replied to gamer.tv's topic in The Spawn Point
I use Grip-iT covers on my sticks so I've never had the issue. Bought them back when I heard the launch controllers were wearing quickly and have been using them since as I prefer the feel of the sticks with them on. They hold up very well too. Have one that's starting to slip off the stick and I've had it on my controller for 5 years now. -
It should. Dolby Vision is 12-bit instead of 10-bit like HDR 10. All those extra colors help make those gradients nice and smooth.

I used to fill up with B20 biodiesel at the pumps. It was gaining traction for a while, but over time, it became more expensive than diesel and started vanishing from the pumps. Plus, a lot of domestic truck owners quit using it when they discovered their trucks weren't rated for it unlike the European cars which were. It wasn't "difficult" to run by any means, it was just more a case of domestic auto makers using lesser quality tubing.

Are his supporters still going to stand by him when their jobs start vanishing and beer prices start increasing.

General Gaming What is the best handheld console of all time?
vaxick replied to gamer.tv's topic in The Spawn Point
Every time I powered on my Switch, my first thoight is, I wish it had an OLED display thanks to the Vita. I still prefer portable gaming on my Vita because of that screen. -
Sony PSN Mid-Year sale is live (859 items on sale)
vaxick replied to SaysWho?'s topic in The Spawn Point
Impressive list. Did a quick look through the Vita titles since I'm away from home and will most likely download Adventures of Mana tonight. Wasn't interested in paying the full price for that game, but at $5, it's perfect. -
General Gaming Shenmue I & II Release Date Revealed (Aug 21)

Day one for me. Will be nice to have these games preserved in a HD resolution. -
General Gaming Last chance to buy most of the tables in Pinball Arcade
vaxick replied to Bitgod's topic in The Spawn Point
I'd not be personally be a fan of that as their physics engine has never been as strong as Farsights has. As @Bitgod said, it's a waiting game now to see what the owner does with these tables along with what happens to Farsight. Bad Cats was a fun one. I own my childhood favorite machine, GoldenEye, but I don't forsee that one ever being digitized as I imagine it's probably one of the most expensive if not the most expensive pin on the planet when it comes to licensing fees. -
I've been warning people since the begining to avoid the VCS at all costs and the way this company has been attacking the press/YouTubers should have been a red flag. The company already has two products they've never delivered to consumers despite happily taking their money. The comments on the Indiegogo also disturbed me as it was clear, many of its backers fail to understand who this company is. They all were asking for game releases not knowing this so called Atari company owns very little of the Atari catalogue. I hope for the backers sake, they do get something, but even if that something comes out, it's dead on arrival.
