  1. He probably doesn't need to. The vast majority of people (in my redneck neighborhood) believe the teenage shooter was rightfully exercising self defense after being a hero protecting businesses. Finally found a comprehensive video. We're still missing some context, like exactly why the protesters were yelling at the militia in the first place, and exactly why the first victim was chasing the kid shooter in the first place, but this information won't matter in a court of law where the kid will most likely not be convicted. There is a self-defense argument in there, but fucking hell this kid, and generally everyone, should question his actions. He stated he was going there to protect (and provide medical aid to) people, but the end result is he caused more harm than good. I've also seen statements he was there to protect property, specifically his grandparents' business, but is property really more valuable than human lives? He's taking a gun, for use as a deterrent because said gun can end a life, to guard wood and stone.
  2. To be fair I am clicking on more video clips of the stupid shit being said at the RNC than the DNC...
  3. WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK??? I now want to here this in context to see if the rest is just as ridiculous.
  4. Anything less will be a huge failure considering this will also be a node shrink. 60% or more! If leaks are true the second and third fiddle 3080and 3070 are faster than the 2080 Ti.
  5. Especially since the Move controllers are puuuuuuuuure garbage. When they work they are mediocre at best, requiring calibration almost as often as the Wiimote+. But the real problem is how unreliable they are to even function at all, from crappy batteries to malfunctioning sensors.
  6. Generally speaking definitely not, but the only tests I have seen that can even answered that question is with a 5700XT because it uses 4.0 and it just isn't fast enough to tell the difference.
  7. Yeah it was a tight fit, just barely had enough room to connect the power, which are currently touching the glass side panel. And the rear has no mounts for even an 80mm fan, while the XL case can mount a 120mm one. As you can see, I do have an 80mm fan in mine but it's secured with twist ties. AMD might also be your only option right now, to unlock the full use of a 3080, because Intel doesn't have PCIe 4.0 yet. Ryzen 2 can't keep up with Intel for high-framerate 1080p gaming, but at 4k the bottleneck is completely the GPU and memory.
  8. Get the XL version of the case. I have the one linked and a GTX 1080 Ti just barely fits due to the limited width of the case. The 3080 you pictured looks like it could be a bit wider than the 1080 Ti I have in mine. Or just go all out custom water cooling, which is what the O11 was designed for.
  9. Streaming services use the hardware that's owned by the private ISPs. We already pay fees for using the private ISPs hardware on public rights of ways. Fees on fees on fees on fees.
  10. Looks like the Xe HP lineup will be for datacenters only. The Xe HPG (gaming) cards will only be one chiplet (tile). As for RDNA3, having read absolutely nothing about it, they must have a some silicon for load balancing, so that Windows will only need to see one GPU.
  11. Tighter motion controls would be amazing, but I do hope they tweak or eliminate the flying controls. They were a fucking wrist torture device. And I hope they make some other quality-of-life changes, like fixing the dialogue box bug.
  12. E-mail used to be the breeding ground of stupid, superstitious, pass this dumb information along. But when you add a face to these messages, they become more palatable. Add a face that you know, and bullshit becomes reality.
  13. But EA Access has sucked the last couple of years with the only notable release being Fallen Order.
  14. If you're into Madden it makes sense. But I'm not sure why it makes sense for EA to have the service. Like you said I would personally use it as a one month rental for either the $15 or $5... in which case it seems like EA would be better off providing their games to Microsoft's Game Pass.
  15. Actually, holy cow, this game is almost exactly templated after Marvel Heroes. But instead of top-down, Diablo-style combat it's 3rd person beat-em-up. But everything else is the same. The characters having multiple distinct skill trees. Damage being of different types - Melee vs. Ranged, then various elemental attributes. Equipping armor of different rarity to get random perks. Collecting resources to upgrade said armor. Mission layouts and objectives, daily challenges. A central, safe place, hub.. It's all eerily familiar. This game is basically what Marvel Heroes would have been with a AAA budget. It's also an evolution in terms of convenience factor. I might actually get into this if they keep content rolling out, and the combat isn't completely terrible. It's a little absurd for the beta to give us a tutorial of combat after 3 hours of gameplay; I definitely would have had a better opinion if the HARM tutorial was accessible earlier. I'm excited to play as Thor when the game comes out. Finally got to give Iron Man a proper run and I enjoy how he's different than Ms. Marvel and Hulk, who played so similarly it gave me a bad impression of what this game was going for. If Thor gets the treatment they gave Iron Man he should be a blast to play. Now let's see, does beating missions on different difficulty levels change the type of loot you get?
  16. I'll have to play the arena missions more to get a better idea of the gear, tactics, and combat. And also learn what all the currencies and boosts do, because I just skipped all that before taking a break after completing what seemed to be the main storyline. But at first glance this game seems to have more systems than Marvel Heroes - which was free-to-play and had like 3+ different kinds of currencies you can spend to upgrade your character at one point. One avenue I can see putting more time into the game is when they introduce more characters. There's only going to be about, what, 10 available at launch? The game seems designed to utilize a 50 hero selection pool.
  17. I just posted my thoughts in the official thread. After not reading anything about this game, and only consuming the E3 trailer/demo, it wasn't what I expected. I'm actually surprised, in a good way, there is a decent skill tree per character, but the actual combat is not tight and feels more like I'm playing a MOBA, without the strategy lol.
  18. From the beta, the game's attempt to blend single-player story-driven experience with an action-looter, low-skill beat-em up gameplay seems to hamper both experiences. The skill unlocks and combat appear to be similar to Spider-Man's and God of War, but the combat is nowhere near as tight and rewarding - at least when playing as Ms. Marvel and Hulk. I most enjoyed me very limited time with Thor and Captain America's basic move set in the intro. Their skills seem to synergize the most, while the Hulk/Marvel just feels like button mashing the same few combos. But again, taking on hordes of enemies feels quite random with little strategy compared to other games of its ilk. I'm not sure how much the multiplayer, arena looter aspect is going to add to the value of this game. I can see myself playing through these missions a few times with people, but tens or hndreds of times as people would in a proper MMO? I also didn't bother to learn any of the items, powerups, and gear I collected. Holy shit there are a lot of systems in this game, and the loot menu is cluttered like an MMO would be. I'm not sure how much story was cut in the beta, but it didn't feel entirely cohesive. There were also problems with characters instantly changing outfits during cutscenes when the camera would change angles.
