  1. I didn’t see this thread until now, but I never beat sekiro, got stuck on the last boss. I just ran through the whole game in about 20 hours, fairly comprehensive run, and just wrecked the game. It is up there for favorite From games, a dev I hold in very high regard.
  2. Actually didn’t Sony or someone recently report they’ll have more consoles available than they originally thought and are pretty damn optimistic?
  3. There’s so much to like about Persona 5, but enough things don’t click with me that I didn’t end up loving the game. I think it gets a little repetitive in ways I don’t like, and some of the min maxing it begs you to do is just kind of irritating (like the questions in class every day). I thought it rolls everything out too slowly as well. The style, music, uniqueness of it - second to none. And I think the story is really good. It’s probably number 4 on my list currently.
  4. I liked it fine actually. I wish the combat had been more satisfying and / or evolved a bit throughout, I thought the story was good overall but it was a bit of a slog at times and I did not buy the kid’s development. I was definitely influenced by the hyperbole around the launch of the game though. People were praising it as one of the best games ever and to me it’s a very good, expensive looking game.
  5. I have not played FF7 or The Last of Us or Horizon or Spider-Man, or really I guess a lot of the true exclusives, but: 1. Bloodborne is the obvious winner for me. One of the best games ever for my money. 2. Everybody’s Golf 3. Uncharted 4 And just so everyone knows where I stand.... I have played God of War.
  6. Not that anyone asked, but I was really hoping FF7 would have been discounted like 10 bucks even by now (I know amazon has it for 10 off but I don’t want a disc). I have a hankering to play it.
  7. Yeah I don't even know if fanboy is the right word... just, people? The Last of Us 2 is funny because it pisses off people who hate "wokeness" and also the most "woke" people at the same time.
  8. My main objective is to be able to play my pc in the basement and the switch in my bedroom. Vain but since it is possible I just want the cheapest and easiest solution lol.
  9. This is a separate sort of setup than what I was referencing before, yes? Like setting up a sever of your own vs paying for essentially minecraft to host the server?
  10. From searching a little more into it, best I can tell is I'll need Realms to do what I want to do. Not sure I'm willing to drop 26 bucks on a game I already own on PC to buy another PC version then pay a monthly fee. Frankly Minecraft pisses me off a little bit? What other fucking game would get away with shit like this?
  11. So I have fallen down a Minecraft hole on my Switch. The short story is I want to be able to go back and forth between my PC and Switch to play Minecraft in a game I have started on my Switch. I was unaware of the free upgrade to the bedrock version that ended back in the spring, so I only have the Java version on PC. What I'm wondering is if I buy the bedrock PC version, what am I able to do with just the base game on both the Switch and PC? Can I freely play the same world at my leisure on either machine? If I want to play on my PC, would I have to have the switch on so I could link locally - and then does it run into issues because it doesn't like that I'm trying to play at the same time on two different machines but with the same "account" (not sure if that will make sense lol). Am I required to buy the cheaper realm to make it all play nice? I am willing to pay the 25 bucks or whatever for the PC version I need, but they don't make it particularly clear how it all works...
  12. Man, my year was pretty good. Half Life 2 Metal Gear Solid 3 Halo 2 GTA San Andreas World of Warcraft Chronicles of Riddick Burnout 3 Takedown Dragon Quest VIII KOTOR 2 My favorite though is probably MGS 3 followed closely by Dragon Quest. I remember playing a lot of Dragon Quest freshman year of college and everyone on the floor thinking it was a DBZ game.
  13. I don’t, but it is looking like a game I will have very little interest in after people hyping it as a return to the old paper Mario ways.
  14. God damnit. Pass. Such promise after the thousand year door and they just mail it in with this series.
  15. Racquetball is a nice tennis substitution that isn't as hard on the body if you're into that sort of thing. I haven't played in years, but always had a good time with it.
  16. I have stopped buying almost all games at full price. The Last of Us is one of my top 10 games of all time, and I will wait for at least one price drop before buying the sequel. There came a point where I hadn't finished Persona 5, which I bought day one, and it was on sale for $10 and I was like WTF am I doing.
  17. I think Sony probably figured nobody gave a shit it was 10 years of PS Plus (and honestly, who gives a shit) and didn't have anything prepared. Then when some site posted a story about like "WHAT WILL THEY DO FOR THE 10 YEAR??" they were like crap I dunno...throw in a FMV game I guess. That said I'm excited to play 2K. Used to play a lot of sports games, but just don't prioritize them anymore.
  18. I used to drink Mountain Dew daily and it was far and away my favorite soda. I probably drink 1 per year if that now, but I miss it.
  19. Absolutely. I think maybe it’s treated differently because largely the movement going on is rooting out systematic abuse and abuse of power whereas a one on one relationship with your partner is a little bit more personal. There can certainly be overlap between the two, but thinking it through I think that’s the major difference here.
  20. You guys got me thinking a little. Cheating on your spouse is pretty fucked up, happens a lot, we seem to be accustomed to it. You could certainly argue that doing so in most cases is "abuse" in some manner to the other party. Yet it doesn't seem to be in the realm of offenses that cause people to want to disbar a personality from a platform? I'm honestly not saying that it should or should not be justification, but I just was thinkin yeah this dude did cheat on his wife and he just took like a self imposed break and that was it. I think there are varying degrees in this altogether - what one person might consider harassment another person might find to be harmless flirting - but I mostly come down to the idea that you know, it's really not very hard to not fucking harass people or make them feel uncomfortable. It's really not. So I don't have any patience for people who bring this shit on themselves, and when it's multiple accusations it's like fuck off dude. You don't deserve a platform when you're such a shitty person. Go run for president where that kind of thing seems to be encouraged?
  21. I don’t doubt it. I’m just saying I’ve seen those other types of stories on twitter not even related to IGN as all of this is coming out, and I think that’s a way the industry could get a handle one some of their issues.
