CitizenVectron
It's probably for the wrong reasons, but good. They need to be broken up.
Jason
Quote The Justice Department is moving toward bringing a case as soon as this summer, some of the people said. At least some state attorneys general—led by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, a Republican—are likely to file a case, probably in the fall, people familiar with the matter said. So is it all red state AGs? If it is, Google is just going to argue that this is politically motivated because Trump thinks they're biased against him. Signifyin(g)Monkey
This’ll be new territory. No one’s ever broken up an informational monopoly before...how do you break up the information on a server? That’s Google’s monopoly. It’ll be interesting to see how they go about it.

chakoo
While this is going to be interesting, if successful I don't think people are going to like what the end results will be nor the knock on effect this will have (if successful, amazon is next). Google Ads pretty much pay for most of google. I also don't really know how they're going to be able to break out GCP from everything either. This also has the knock on effect that any company reliant on google ecosystem might be up shits creek and dead in a year.
