The girl I've been dating, and really fucking like, just moved back to her hometown of Montreal after finishing up her studies at an American lab nearby. I just went to visit her for the first time and she's coming down the day after Xmas to stay with me for like five days but fuck me, Montreal is a six hour drive away and I don't know if I can do this long-distance shit...I've never done it before and it seems so absurd but at the same time I can't imagine just letting this go. I guess keep going and see how far it all develops and then see if any solutions can be thought of? I have no idea how people approach the whole long distance thing. We did long distance for two years before breaking it off, and even then it was mostly because we just didn't know when it was going to end. But we only saw each other two or three times per year because we were separated by an ocean. I think if you can make progress towards the long distance ending, it really won't be that bad. My situation is definitely much...easier...I guess but yea, we decided to really sit down and try to logically come up with a plan when she comes down for Xmas. As in, full pros/cons lists and all on how living together could be achieved ultimately if we were so inclined and so on.
