I want Dead Rising back

I’m a huge fan of the series and it sucks that the reception to 4 seems to have killed it for the time being. It’s a series that has so much potential to do really well sales wise, I don’t think Capcom should throw in the towel and really hope they don’t.

There is a rumor of a Dead Rising 1 remake, which would be cool, though I’d much rather a brand new one. I just completed my Steam DR collection last night and these games are a blast to play still, especially on the deck. I actually like all of them, yes, even 4. 4 has a ton of fun extra content now too if you get the complete version and the environment is great, and it is an awesome holiday game.

I get why people turned on that one especially, but 1 is actually my least favorite of all of them due to the demanding nature of its design which honestly kinda stresses me out. Dont get me wrong it’s still a classic but I do like the others more. DR2 is my favorite and just one of my all time favorite games, my favorite coop game, and possibly my favorite location in a game.

3 is a lot different than the others but was a good show off last gen (though not as much as 1 before it) and I appreciate more now how it is such a different open world location. Looking forward to playing this one on pc for the first time, will look a million times better than on the original Xbox One.

Bring it back Capcom and develop it internally while you are spitting pure fire (and since Vancouver is closed)!

It’s not so much the escort missions with 1 for me (they are in 2 also) but the stricter reliance on the 72 hour time limit - in DR2 I felt I had more freedom to do the escort missions without worrying I’d run out of time for the main quest. I do like it a lot still though.

I liked the series a lot, but I hated Dead Rising 4. I honestly can't even really say what's wrong with it, but the whole thing felt "off."

I did really like Dead Rising 3 though, even though it was a decent departure from the first two. I think it hit that sweet spot of being just different enough to be fresh, but still feel like Dead Rising.

Hopefully, eventually, I'll try it out on my PC.

I really enjoy DR1, but I feel like it was perhaps too "long" to be the kinda game where you try, fail, and repeat once you're more leveled up. I like it a lot but it really feels its age; it came out before there was a broad understanding of what games from that generation "should" be. Which in hindsight means that there's nothing else like it, even the later DR games.

Also it's fucking weird that the game rewards you for upskirt and titty pics, that has not aged well. :p

I'd love to see a return too.  Going Xbox exclusive for a stretch of time really hurt that franchise.  I'm the same on DR1, game stressed me out a lot with its clock, but DR2 easing up the time limit made for a much more enjoyable experience.  Always had a good time with those games and bought them again when they were ported to the PS4.

Ohh right DR4 launched xbox exclusive too and DR3 didn’t launch on pc day and date with Xbox either, that definitely hurt them.
