Nintendo Diablo III Eternal Collection announced for Switch this autumn
gamer.tv replied to Paperclyp's topic in The Spawn Point
I bought Diablo 2 on a whim when I was at uni and really enjoyed it, though never became obsessed with it. A bit of me is tempted to pick up the PS4 version just to see what it’s like. Shame there isn’t a trial version. -
Small jog for me too and weather was cool so it was nice. Will hopefully wake up early tomorrow and smash out a pre work workout. Aiming to do a 10K hill walk on Saturday and maybe a little job prior.

General Gaming What are you playing today?

I'm still OK with the control scheme, though I could imagine it feeling weird not on a GC controller. Though I have an urge to play some Resident Evil before the remake of 2 is released and I've never had a problem with 'tank controls'. -
General Gaming THQ Nordic acquires Timesplitters and Second Sight
gamer.tv replied to Pikachu's topic in The Spawn Point
Genuinely loved Timesplitters 2/Future Perfect and would welcome either a new entry or a remaster. I’ve played about half of Second Sight and that was also well done. I do wonder how this will impact the Timesplitters Rewind ‘fan’ project- 10 replies

Rockstar, though a special mention to Nintendo for the most recent Hyrule they have created.

In reality, I should probably be running 6+ miles for my jogs butn slack. I’ve just maintained a level of fitness over the last few years which just keeps me in good knick.

Another 3 miler, though really suffered from a) it being sunny b) walking about 30,000 steps at work but eating as though I would have a day sitting down. So long as I wake up early enough tomorrow, will smash out some circuit training when walking the dog.

I really, really wish I knew people that would want to play DnD
gamer.tv replied to gamer.tv's topic in The Shower
Thanks for this, it's brought up a shop about 2 miles from my house! This is a decent idea to try out. At least once I'm up to speed. I think next pay day I'll pick up the Player Guide, look through it and see if the desire is still strong. -

I was looking to pick up Chrono Trigger on the ds but it costs a silly amount. Japanese copy however much cheaper, so I may go via that route. Or just forget this whole silly thing as I have loads of current games. -
General Entertainment Do you like watching movies with your SO
gamer.tv replied to johnny's topic in The Performing Arts Centre
Yep. Always fun as a duo -
I've been watching Puffin Forest for the past few days and I'm starting to really want to try out DnD. The good news, I have a friend that definitely used to play it. The bad news is he lives an hour away and has a young child so it more likely a write off. Is it something that I could GM and play as a 2 player experience (to learn the ropes) and then just venture out and try and find 'like minded people'. ...I would also love to be involved in a retro game club (to indulge in multiplayer)

I would put mayonnaise as my all time favourite condiment. -
Books What Are You Reading or Listening To?
gamer.tv replied to rc0101's topic in The Performing Arts Centre
Just finished and it was certainly a good starting insight into modern (and the history) of Physics and Cosmology, at least as it was 20 years ago. I did enjoy the fact that it signed off with the fact that most aspects of human development (at least in an academic sense) is almost impossible to remain [currently] informed on. At least outside of the few that work within the field and live and breathe the subject. That said, this will be a nice catalyst for me to enjoy more books/articles surrounding the theory of the universe, at least from a slightly more informed point of view, but more importantly to look at other 'introduction to' books to read. I would love to have a more rounded understanding of British politics (that my mixture of news and people opinion doesn't offer) so I may look into that. In the mean time, I've just ordered The Name of the Wind - Patrick Fothfuss, which comes incredibly well recommended by all corners of the internet. I had no idea of the series before hand, so I'm looking forward to giving it a go. Then I think I need to return back to Uhtred of Beddanburg and continue on with that series, I think I'm eight books in now, so I can't exactly stop. -

When I was to read the EDGE magazine it was a similar story when they were operating on limited space. It just seems to be the style they go for. -

Reading A brief history of time. It’s a sign of someone that understands there work that it can be explained to an idiot like me and make sense. -
I’ll watch when I get home but is it essentially DOOM with cars?

As expected, The Witcher 3. A friend of mine and my Partner is coming over today so they can do some drawing/painting, so I'll game whilst they have fun with that. I also woke up with a desire to play some N64 (specifically Starfox, 1080 and Wave Race) so I'll make that happen if the feeling doesn't change. Also downloaded Hearthstone onto my phone, so I'll try that out properly tonight.
