  1. Already own this on the (ugh) Wii U. Sucks for those that didn’t buy it already. At least there are physical copies out there, though this news may make prices skyrocket. I own the original as well. That fact has nothing to do with the thread, but I wanted some bragging rights. @CastlevaniaNut18 and @chakoo probably own the game as well, and embarrass me by showing they own the sequel as well.
  2. “Glimpse” indeed! Didn’t realize a bunch of those games would be shown to us at Blast Processing speed.
  3. So, basically make sure you only use the official Nintendo branded stuff and you’re safe.
  4. The ledge guarding in EVO-level Smash would have pissed me off so much, LOL
  5. It’ll do in a pinch. WipEout plays a little more “floaty” compared to F-Zero but once you get the hang of the different physics, you’ll be flying through the races no problem. Be warned; WipEout also implements weapon combat during racing as well, so it adds an extra challenge to the high-speed action, too. It’s intense!
  6. Ooh, Smash as a main final. Neat! Also so looking forward to Tekken 7 and Samurai Shodown matches. And I guess learning about this Under Night...!
  7. If that’s true, EA can keep their games off of Switch. Playstation and Xbox fans may eat that stuff up, but Nintendo fans ain’t falling for that garbage.
  8. Fair point. I feel the same could be said about Xbone and 3DS numbers as well - many people upgraded when new version of those hardware SKUs came out. It’ll be interesting to see how “double dipping” will effect (affect?) Switch sales numbers once the Lite is released.
  9. Makes sense. A lot of their games have online communities, and players tend to stick to the ecosystems they are already entrenched in, and/or play consistently with their friends. And yeah, anecdotally, I own a LOT of Switch games...none of them are published by EA. That would change I think, if EA dropped an exclusive on the system. One that can’t be played anywhere else but Switch. Maybe a new SSX would do the trick. Or Road Rash? And oh man, maybe they wouldn’t be down for an exclusive Need for Speed (like they did on Wii) but I know several Nintendo fans that would go bonkers if a new Beetle Adventure Racing game came out, only on Switch. ...I’m just spit-balling here, EA. You can take the proverbial ball and run with it from here, if you want.
  10. I didn't ask WHY people are buying PS4s in 2019, you goons! I asked WHO. Again, I want names.
  11. I’ve never played a Mystery Dungeon game. Is it worth playing an Etrian version of it to get my feet wet?
  12. For a game that we knew literally nothing about at the beginning of the year, this seems really ambitious. I'm pretty intrigued, and I have it pre-ordered...but I think I would still appreciate a demo of some kind to really help me understand WTF this is. With everything going into it, no wonder Bayonetta 3 is taking so long.
  13. Yup yup. Maybe take a page out of Microsoft's playbook when they had to make good on the "Red Ring of Death" debacle. Strange that this happened. Like you said, Nintendo has been in this business for decades, and the one of the things you can usually trust about the company is reliable, durable hardware.
  14. Shiggy for sure. IGA is a shoe-in for me. Mikami deserves a spot for RE4 alone, IMO. Can't decide between Yokoi or Tezuka to join the ranks. Leaning towards Yokoi, though. Hideo Kojima is the wild card. Overall love his games, but man. Some of them just don't sit right with me. Even if they are critically acclaimed and have production values out the wazoo, and feature a level of polish and detail mostly unheard of in the industry. I'd also want a spot for Hiroshi Yamauchi, even though he was not a game creator himself. Gotta give the man credit for basically rebuilding the video game industry from the ashes, all those years ago. Seconded.
  15. Wow, strong words. I'm not sure if that's entirely the reason, but there is probably some small truth to that. Looking forward to what the future holds!
