  1. Is this the game that was going to come out on Wii U, but then didn’t? I know that’s not really narrowing down on choices, but this sounds familiar.
  2. I’m ready. New character? I’m putting my bets on Ryu Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden.
  3. Of course no cross play because Playstation does what Playstation wants. They are so behind the times. Please catch up with literally the entire REST OF THE INDUSTRY. Please and thank you. Not that they will, since the brand continues to sell bonkers numbers regardless of what they do.
  4. Switch: Three. Two regular, one Lite. (two for the kids, one for me) PS4: One. Not Pro. Xbox: Zero.
  5. And don’t forget about Wonder Trade or Mystery Gift or whatever. You can fill out the Galar PokéDex fairly easily with just one copy of the game. And I see no reason why that wouldn’t also happen with the expansions. So, in conclusion, you can fill out the PokéDex with one copy of the game, and Epstein didn’t kill himself.
  6. BAH to your "I'm not counting handhelds!" First home console played: Atari 7800 First home console owned: Nintendo Entertainment System First home console I bought on my own: Gamecube First handheld played: Game Boy (unless those Tiger LCD games or Game & Watch count?) First handheld owned: Game Boy First handheld I bought on my own: Game Boy
  7. Ooh, I'm pretty optimistic about these expansions. Assuming, of course, they are what they were really introduced as; the Sword/Shield equivalent to Yellow/Crystal/Emerald/Platinum/Black2/White2 etc. Though these areas seem smaller, so I'm not sure how that would truly equate...unless the content is really, really dense and compact. And updates are free and are released on a regular basis. And at least these are coming in at a *kinda* easy to digest price of only $30 ($20 would have been the sweet spot) but at least they aren't so bold to charge us $40 (or so out-of-their-minds to try to sell them at a full $60 a pop!). Adding in the remaining 200 or so PKMN that, let's face it, probably SHOULD HAVE BEEN in the base game to begin, with seems a little greasy. But with all the other added content, new areas, new forms of existing PKMN and some new story stuff...I'll admit I'd probably end up buying it anyway. So getting all the older gen PKMN "back" is just the cherry on top. (for me, anyway) Looks like the only thing I have to really wait for now is for Pokémon Home to release so I can get my teams out of jail...er, out of Pokémon Bank! ....and then subsequently into Sword/Shield. I don't care one little bit about Mystery Dungeon.
  8. I’m not in Canada, but Detroit is pretty close! I’ll take note regardless!
  9. @Paperclyp Word. Am I crazy or did I hear both PS5 and the new Xbox are due out THIS year? If so, you won’t have to wait too long for the refresh! Uh...sorry to everyone for derailing this thread! LOL Hit me up if you want to throw down in SFV sometime!
  10. Oh? I'll admit, I don't pay an enormous amount of attention to PS4 games. But I was under the impression things like Dragonball Xenoverse 2 on Switch having the entire first game included was unique. And Dragon Quest 11's "8-bit" mode and fully orchestrated music was unique to the Switch "definitive" version. And the upcoming Samurai Shodown bundled with the NGPC Samurai Shodown! 2 was also exclusive. And so on. If all that is also available for PS4, I withdraw my statements. I should also mention I've never been a big fan of the Dual Shock controller. Like, the entire industry has non-parallel analog sticks. Except Playstation. Booo. Anyway, I know these are not popular opinions (facts?) since I know this forum is fairly "pro-Playstation" so I'll withdraw from this conversation. As you say, it's all good. Peace.
  11. @Keyser_Soze @Paperclyp As was described above, yes. It's primarily because I greatly prefer portable gaming over console/PC gaming. I travel too often nowadays that it makes spending money on those kind of games a kind of waste of money. Not because the games or the systems they are on are BAD (they're not)...it's just that I won't play them. And again, not because of lack of desire, just lack of...availability. On my part. My recent Twitter posts should surely confirm my claims, haha (also shameless plug for my Twitter): Also, I find Switch games just to be better overall. It's easier to carry around Switch cartridges in cases or bags. Often times there are Collector's Editions of games that aren't available on other systems. Switch games are often better deals, like more content is included, DLC included, and/or enhanced features. Game performance is often pretty much the same across all platforms, or is negligible. A small sacrifice for portability. Most of my friends own Switch so it's always easier for multiplayer games to get the Switch version. I also get a "kick back" when buying Switch games, thanks to the "my.nintendo" program. I can get games at a discount (or free!) thanks to the credit I build there. The online is a better deal, since I don't see much different in performance during online games (and yeah, I know that's a controversial statement, but it's honestly been my experience) and the extra cost of a PSN subscription is kind of absurd to me. Just my thoughts, though! I've been let down by Sony a lot recently as well, so I'll admit I'm a bit sour about the Playstation brand in general. But that's just me being a little salty. I'm sure I'll get over it when a great PS4 exclusive comes out (looking forward to the FF7 remake!).
  12. Oh cool, PS4 players can play against PC players? Nice. Usually Sony isn’t so open with cross-platform play.
  13. Oh, right. I guess I should mention that I also have it on PS4, not PC. Not sure if that matters? I hate buying games for PS4, but Capcom forced my hand with this one.
  14. Congrats on the Switch, @5timechamp ! And yeah, looks like you’ll have plenty of games to keep you busy for the foreseeable future! Cheers!
  15. Yeah I have it. Didn’t put much time into it, but I know Street Fighter pretty well.
  16. If we do, I want a remaster. Don’t port it as-is. Fix it, Nintendo. Like you tried to do with The Wind Waker’s re-release.
  17. I don’t have anything to add to the thread, I just wanted to say I’ve really enjoyed reading everyone’s responses.
