  1. I can list a few hidden gems: Code Name S.T.E.A.M. FAST: RMX Graceful Explosion Machine Mighty Gunvolt Burst and Metroid Prime: Federation Force YEAH I SAID IT NO ONE GAVE THAT GAME A CHANCE BUT PLAY IT WITH FRIENDS AND IT IS AWESOME FIGHT ME
  2. Was waiting for Castlevania 64. I leave disappointed. Wait, I thought people liked Splinter Cell: Blacklist?
  3. 1.) Wall running. Not sure what game pioneered it, but it was one of my most favorite things to do in Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. 2.) Parry. I don’t care what fighting game we’re talking about, but any game that allows you to simply just...NOT take damage from your opponent and then punish immediately after? SO SATISFYING. 3.) Shell-surfing. Pretty sure you could only do this in Super Mario 64...it was such a dumb, do-nothing feature (that oddly Nintendo did not capitalize on by requiring it for an objective for anything) but I loved being able to knock a Koopa Troopa out of its shell and then take said shell out for a joy ride.
  4. I had a Saturn back in the day. Had Tomb Raider, NiGHTS, and I think Resident Evil? Can’t remember if I bought that or borrowed from a buddy. Later I imported X-MEN vs. Street Fighter (awesome!) and Castlevania: Nocturne in the Moonlight (mmmyyeeehhh?). Good times. Another buddy imported Street Fighter Zero 3 and Metal Slug. Now THAT is some fantastic 2D action done right.
  5. Thankfully that studio got better at developing games. I'll try to think of something that's forgettable, but...that's the thing. How can I remember a game I have forgotten?
  6. Haha, I know! I'm not a fan of FPS games so I skipped it. I feel I disappointed the internet as a whole, but meh I'll likely never play DOOM Eternal anyway. #sorrynotsorry
  7. If you always assume the worst, you'll never be disappointed, and more often pleasantly surprised! #lifehack
  8. Can't wait to swing by GameStop later today and grab my copy. My daughter already pre-downloaded her digital copy on her Switch, so she's off to the races. My son wasted his eShop credit on V-bucks, so he's sitting out for a while. Fortnite claims another victim...!
  9. I thought the first post was going to be "....we broke up." Which would have been a depressing thread. INSTEAD! This thread has been comedy gold. Well played, all.
  10. Yup! And if the PS5 releases this year, I’ll be 40 when that comes out. Too bad the PS3 came out in 2006. It would have been “in sync” with a new PlayStation console every five years for me (15 years old, 20 years old, 25 years old - until PS4, which got pushed back due to the unusually lengthy last generation). Maybe we can substitute in Sony’s first handheld, the PSP, as the Playstation that came out when I was 25. [/end_self_indulgent_post]
  11. Well, I played the OG Playstation in high school! But yeah I was in college when PS2 dropped. I am old, but I’m not *that* old!
  12. PS2 is 20 years old...when it came out, I was 20 years old myself. For some reason, that hurts.
  13. So as the title says. I'm looking for a good repeater for my home Wi-Fi. What I have works "OK" but I find when I'm in my basement the connection is a little funky. Not a big deal with my Switch, by my PS4 is permanently in my basement and not having a good connection down there...well, it ain't no good. Suggestions? Is the Google repeater a decent option? Also, any suggestions for a quality home printer? I buy a lot of retro games from the PS2/Xbox/Gamecube era and a lot of those games don't come with original artwork. So I typically print the case art online and put them in the DVD cases, but the printer I have is YEARS old and I think I need an upgrade to something more high-quality. Any suggestions for that is helpful as well. Thank you in advance!
  14. @Keyser_Soze Huh. I never know what games come out any more, lol. Looking into that Terminator game...apparently it got a lot of really bad reviews so maybe that is why it so easily slipped under my radar.
