  1. The new operation metro map on BFV is really good. Definitely the best map for the gameplay style they went with. I almost feel like they need to retune all the other maps with this formula.
  2. I’m in the same boat, although I did also play the first Zelda back in the day when it came out. Played BOTW on my kids wiiu and absolutely loved it. I Just finished LA on switch and I’m really craving more (was even considering oceanhorn 2). I don’t own any of the other wwiu zeldas and I think I would need a pro pad bc the console analog has really bad drift. So I’m either going to play lttp on switch or oot on 3DS
  3. out today!! listening to it now on spotify. so good!
  4. ..and it looks like Ukraine is holding up their end of the deal https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/trump-impeachment-inquiry/ukraine-reviewing-investigation-company-linked-hunter-biden-part-broader-audit-n1062311
  5. beginning? that's exactly how he got elected. he convinced his low IQ base that everyone else but Trump and Fox news are lying to them and their only salvation is believing in everything he says and does bc he has their best interest at heart. hes a magnificent con-man. gotta give him that.
  6. this game is really good. Just finished file 2 and the combat really picked up. I thought in handheld mode it felt clunky, but i think it was actually bc the 1st mission where it just throws you in was supposed to feel clunky. It’s a really unique concept and really fun to control the legion and combo attacks together. im not a huge fan of melodramatic anime-Jank but the story seems solid, even if some of the voice acting is subpar. The investigation/exploration seems a bit shallow but I’m sure it will pick up as you unlock more abilities. The highlight is obviously the fighting gameplay. cant wait to dive back in later after I take care of some house chores.
  7. Jotun, Astral Chain and BFV. Jotun is absolutely gorgeous. The gameplay feels a little slow, but i just started so maybe it will pick up. Fought a boss already and it was a pretty tough and fun fight. Played through the first mission of Astral Chain - so far it seems like a really cool concept but i don’t think handheld mode is the way to play. Might need to play this one docked bc it seems like the gameplay is a little more involved. BFV - wanted to try out the new map, Al Sudan. I loaded in and instantly hit my longest headshot at 332m (on a moving target no less) with the krag. The map is a snipers wet dream.
  8. It’s definitely more handholdy compared to 1 (which other than BOTW is the only other Zelda ive played). I’m really comparing to modern games where they give you an outlined path. Or a compass in the HUD with an objective marker. Its basically been this way for years and this game definitely felt more old school in that regards. also - even though at some point after completing a dungeon you would get a hint as to where to go, it still didn’t define the route. Not that the map is big, but reach some areas was a little tricky. Also the telephone booths only give you a hint so far. I would say there was probably 3 or so times where i felt stumped and the booths told me where i needed to be, but not what I needed to do first to get there. And I’m ok with that. One off the top of my head i can remember i would’ve never figured that out unless i did what I mentioned and scrubbed the whole world to try to trigger something. So after over an hour or two, I said F IT and looked it up.
  9. Had no idea!! Just watched a YT video. Kinda glad, the game is really easy in terms of fighting. That would’ve made it easier. i did come across that area in graveyard and couldn’t figure it out and said fuck it. I’ll check it later. Totally forgot to go back.
  10. Armor upgrades? Did I miss this? I never upgraded my armor, just added new items which added new gameplay mechanics????
  11. Just finished the game. It was a really fun ride and opening my switch to play it was well worth it. This game was a nice break from FPS or western RPGs with ultra-deep mechanics. Very simple gameplay and accompanied with really amazing (and sometimes hard) dungeon design. I’ll admit I’m not a huge Nintendo fan, but this game really highlights what makes them great at their place in the gaming industry. my only real complaint and I said this earlier...is that the bosses were way too easy. And it’s a stark contrast to the dungeons that could be very difficult at time to figure out. They really kept the old school vibe in this game and it worked really well with the QoL changes and updated graphics. I’ll admit that I had to look some hints on YouTube in several spots. After years of games basically holding your hand and pointing you to the next objective, this game really does none of that. There were certain things where If you didn’t connect the dots with what to do next (so to speak) you would’ve had to comb over the whole map again and interacted when all NPC, houses, landmarks to try to trigger something. It definitely could’ve added literal hours to the game. At my age i don’t have the patience for that, but i appreciate the lack of handholding and Nintendo not dumbing it down for the modern age. something interesting to note is that there was a digital sale the other day and I picked up a few games, all of which Were installed on the internal memory. Once I did that, I absolutely noticed some of the framerate issues everyone else observed. Mostly coming in and out of houses and when you moved on to the next tile on the map. Just a slight chop but it cleared right up. Luckily i was already up to the 8th dungeon when this happened so there wasn’t much left in the game that i had to deal with it. As for the switch - i don’t know where they get 9hrs of battery life in handheld mode from. A 2-3hr play session will completely drain the battery. I would say maybe 4hrs max. Maybe they mean off charge, in sleep mode it’ll last 9 hrs. And if this is an improvement over the old switch, that’s just ridiculous. Almost feels like it defeats the purpose of handheld mode (which I basically played the entire game in). I’m now either going to play Jotun, bc it looks cool AF, or move right on to astral chain. Or maybe I’ll jump back and forth!
  12. "THE DEMOCRATS ARE TRYING TO DESTROY THE REPUBLICAN PARTY AND ALL THAT IT STANDS FOR. STICK TOGETHER, PLAY THEIR GAME, AND FIGHT HARD REPUBLICANS. OUR COUNTRY IS AT STAKE!"

  16. Spec ops mode is ps4 exclusive for 1 year. Kinda fucks up cross-play. I thought we were past this nonsense.
  17. thats a bold statement. BOTW is one of the best games this gen. i tried xenoblade 1 on the wiiu and it ran so bad i couldnt play it. do i need to play 1 in order to play 2? isnt there some sort of definitive edition coming out soon>? Edit - Nevermind - you answered right above me!
  18. playing devils advocate here...but what if trumps tactic actually forced the investigation that did find Biden used his political power to help his son? what happens then? Hypothetically speaking.
