Word of advice for people just starting: it’s definitely odd they give you this option when you make your way through a big chunk of the level, only to hit a roadblock that requires you to acquire a new skill to continue. I left and went to And it’s a much more enjoyable experience. also - the combat skill that allows you to sprint and hit x is OP...but I actually feel more like a Jedi with it.

I played for a few hours tonight. The game definitely feels a bit like a souls-lite game mixed with uncharted/tomb raider exploration. I’m playing on the 2nd hardest difficulty and I’m finding it a decent enough challenge that it’s not frustrating or rage inducing. the combat is a bit janky, esp in tight quarters. Trying to fight without being locked onto an enemy is terrible, even worse with multiple enemies. the story is cool and the characters have some personality. Game runs smooth for the most part on x1x. A little dip during cut scenes. It definitely looks pretty. I finished up the first world. About mid point there is an optional boss. Took a few tries early on but it’s basically a OHK if you get hit with the unblockable attack. my biggest issue on the x1x is the load times after death can be like 30sec. It’s a PIA when you are trying to fight a hidden boss and die a few times and need to make your way back. I bought physical but it’s installed on my SSD. Still slow. overall though I’m enjoying the game. I don’t know if I’ll feel inclined to search every nook and cranny...but if the pacing stays consistent with the first world, i think it’ll be a fun ride.

We’ve been researching this place more and it’s not looking like a good option. My fear of them taking my money then just putting the dog down seems to be probable.

We had her trained and evaluated after a few other weird incidents. They told us she’s not aggressive but be careful. The guy who evaluated her is widely known in this area for being a great trainer. He does all the Suffolk county police dogs. Im not sure what type of evaluation that can provide that would change my situation. If they could help place her after an evaluation I would strongly consider making the trip up to MA.

yes, I don’t want another incident. It’ll also make it harder to let her go the longer we postpone it. im on Long Island, NY. Weather is up and down this time of year. i don’t have a place really for her to stay other than my great room. I spoke to the vet today and NY state law is you cannot euthanize a dog until 10 days after a bite. I guess they want to see if rabies become present. So i have until wed nov 20th to figure something out.

Im in NY, but I have at least one option. I contacted this place, www.spiritanimal.org. They are a sanctuary in upstate NY. They specialize in dogs similar to mine. They finally got back to me today. They would be willing to take her... one caveat - I need to donate $5000 for the lifetime care of the dog. As of now, we are leaning towards this bc shes young. Vet visits, food and care for the rest of her life would probably be about that much (she costs me about $50/mo in food alone )...but its still a lot of money. I need to find out if there is any sort of guarantee that they dont take my money and then just put her down a month later.

new patch dropped last night... sounds like more improvements to footsteps, nerf on the M4 and 725 again. Some buffs to other guns. Looks like they mightve fixed piccadilly spawntrapping.

i mean, ya.. exactly. weve had her for almost 3 years and this incident really did come out of nowhere. earlier in the same day, my daughter was laying with her and put reindeer antlers on her head. the dog licked her face. even when we replay the other times wheres shes been a little weird, it never felt like it was something to be really worried about. this why a lot of the people ive talked seem to think it could be a neurological thing.

I wish that was so, but the outlook doesnt look good. My wife and I have been scrambling to find a sanctuary or trainer or someone who works with dogs like this and we are hitting brick walls. If I dont have a home for her by the end of the week, I am going to have to put her down. I really cant blame anyone for not wanting the dog. She attacked a child unprovoked. Usually if it could be isolated to a cause - food, territory, etc.. its something a trainer can work with...but we have no trigger to associate the attack to. Its looking more like it could be a neurological issue and that cant be corrected with training. Its just so sad because shes been a really sweet, affectionate dog otherwise. My house is a sad place right now - its like we are living with a ghost. Shes amongst us right now (just my wife and i), shes wagging her tail and cuddling with us....but ultimately her end awaits and we are going to be the ones to do it. Its such a mindfuck. of all the weeks too. I have a giant presentation to make at work to about 150 people and my mind is just not clear and focused. im glued to my phone hoping for a message or a response to the dozens of people ive reached out to with good news....and to top it all off - last thursday night driving home late a deer ran into my truck and completely destroyed the front end. It was dark, wooded road, no street lights and it was raining. Never even saw it coming. It bolted out of the woods, smashed into my truck and then took off back into the woods again. Poor deer must been running on adrenaline and eventually died somewhere in the woods.

Not sure what happened with my initial post, it deleted the text when i added the pics. But I just re-added it.

We have a 2.5-3yr old catahoula mix that attacked my daughter last night. She needed about 8 stitches on her eyebrow and she has multiple scratches on her face. My wife witnessed the event and said it was completely unprovoked. My daughter was near our stove showing her friend the gingerbread house she made. The dog was on the opposite side of the room (it’s a great room - kitchen, dining, living all in one) and just out of nowhere charged my daughter and pounced on her. My daughter broke free after the initial attack and was smart enough to climb on top of the counter. My wife ran over and grabbed the dog and put her outside. There’s been other incidents where she’s exhibited questionable behavior but it never went this far. We always made excuses as to why she did something and after last night, i think it was the final straw. We’ve tried training as well and we feel at this point it’s beyond trying to make it work. She is great with adults. She’s a big lap dog with my wife and I. She snuggles us and sleeps in the bed with us. She would be great in a house with no kids. Does anyone here Iknow anyone or any organizations that take dogs like this,? Would someone on here want her? I’d be willing to bring her anywhere in the northeast. . We do not want to get her euthanized.

COD - new patch made the game so much better BFV - the pacific has turned this game around. The new maps are amazing Luigis Mansion - This is fun in short bursts, but it hasn’t really sunk its hooks into me. The gameplay is a little dull, but the atmosphere and Nintendo charm are there.

SBMM prioritizes your skill over ping when MM. it always pits you with people 1 level ahead of your ability so you rarely get a chance to perform really well. add to it the fast TTK and the fact it wiill put you in matches with high ping, it makes doing well even harder. most PVP games MM based on ping, and there is a separate competitive mode that MM based on skill.

Definitely an improvement. the 725 is still OP. But I’m seeing a lot more variants in guns being used. No more 90% M4. I’m really liking the kilo. the faster movement feels good too. just get rid of SBMM and this game will be doing great.

Not only new maps, but all the changes everyone has been asking for. This is a significant patch!

it has a lot of potential to be great though. the ranking up and leveling the guns is great. the graphics and animation is great. movement feels pretty good. the sound outside of the footsteps and callouts is great. they just need to nerf the M4 and 725. nerf claymores. tone down the footsteps and stop the callouts from being heard by the enemies. they also need to balance a few maps where every game leads to spawntrapping (picadilly and that village map with the haystacks). and get rid of SBMM and make it by ping.

not just claymores - literally anything you say can be heard. contact, enemy at the cave entrance, reloading, throwing frag.... its all audible by the enemy. its completely insane.

The meta is the following: perks: overkill, ghost, amped field skill: dead silence Guns: M4 (w/ only attachments that increase ADS) and 725 (w/ whatever, doesnt matter) 2 claymores 1 stun or flash this is a huge problem. there is no balance. the loud footsteps, callouts and really fast TTK arent helping either.

who sucks? from what i can tell, im about average (and I maybe play 1-2 matches a day at this point at least until its fixed). seems most 2-3K/D players are hovering around 1KD, which is right where Im at. Ive had some top 3 matches and ive been at the bottom a lot (SBMM blows). I just refuse to conform to a specific play style in order to "win". All play styles should be viable. I complain a lot about Battlefield V too, but Im still playing it (new maps are amazing BTW ). You can be critical about a games design while still being interested in it and wanting to enjoy it...and ultimately wanting it to be better. Dr. Disrespect sums up the feelings of the majority of the community.

Clearly you haven’t played much battlefield recently. There’s going to be camping in every shooter sure, but this is nothing like recent battlefields. As for the OG pc-only games , i can’t speak for them. I’m not a huge COD player, but IMO the pinnacle of the franchise was MW1-3. And this is NOTHING like that. There is a difference between that stupidity of jumping around and trying to shotgun each other (fortnite) and offering an ability to play aggressively and be rewarded for it. This game does NONE of it. absolute nonsense. When the entire fucking team and your own teammates are sitting in a single-entry room with a claymore covering the door...that does nothing for you. this game isn’t tactical. This game isn’t strategic. Theres nothing rewarding about the gameplay. This game caters to people sitting in a room and waiting for someone to peek/walk/run by and with the instant TTK it just gives shitty players the ability to get kills.
