  1. Never heard of it. I don't have Showtime, but after the season is done, I'll probably sub for a month and check it out (along with anything else I've been missing on that channel).
  2. I haven’t put much time into any entry in the series since Revelations. I played through those first 4 games and enjoyed them all. After that, I was pretty burned out on that gameplay structure, yet at the same time I didn’t embrace the changes they made to expand beyond that. I’ve been thinking about giving Origins another shot, but in a couple days I’m gonna be all about RDR2,
  3. Guinness Irish Wheat - I wouldn't think of going to Guinness for a wheat beer, but I got a 6 pack for $4 so for that price I'm a fan.
  4. Yeah, you kinda have to make your own fun in Standard Hearthstone. A lot of the "best" decks aren't all that fun to play. I learned to embrace the RNG and mostly play decks like Burgle Rogue that can pull off really dumb wins out of nowhere.
  5. I mean, it seems pretty easy. I've never had multi-billion dollar wildfire in my backyard. I don't see why it happens in California.
  6. Every story I read about this game is something like "just when things were starting to go OK, one of my dudes snapped and killed everyone. 10/10"
  7. I've been trying to ignore this game lately, thinking that I really don't need to buy another game right now. But thanks to our generous overlord, I'll be playing it next week. It's too bad that I screwed up when scheduling my vacation. This will drop at the end of my week off, not the start.
  8. PS4 please! And thank you @SFLUFAN for being a patron of the arts.
  9. I’m 28 and $2000 short on a new gaming PC. Just in case some people are still in a giving mood...
  10. I actually think I might have liked this more if I saw it when I was around that age. Part of what I found boring is that I felt like I had already seen this movie a million times (not just space missions, but any story where a man leaves his family behind on a dangerous mission - those dramatic points were all too familiar). It starts off with a bang, and the promise of increasing danger might be enough to keep him engaged during the slower bits. It is over 2 hours long though, and I really felt it.
  11. It doesn’t really fit my usual category of “Oscar Bait”. Claire Foy gets one big “LOOK AT MY ACTING” scene, but other than that everyone plays it pretty low key. The period set/costume design wasn’t very flashy (which is a plus in my book). It didn’t take a historical event and bend over backwards trying to teach us a lesson about something that’s happening today. I did find it just kinda boring though. I can enjoy a slow movie that’s mostly people standing around talking. But here, I just had a hard time connecting to any of the characters. The movie doesn’t really give you much of an opportunity to connect to anyone other than Armstrong, and part of his whole deal is that he is so emotionally guarded, it’s hard to get close to him. And to get slightly into spoiler territory, I felt like the best stuff was all in the first 10-15 minutes, both in terms of the family drama and the visceral flight footage.
  12. There’s a strong possibility that I’ll be in the minority here, but I didn’t like it much at all.
  13. I forgot that this was happening, with Guy Ritchie and Will Smith, no less. Weird. I bet it'll be good.
  14. Split was a January release. It could be his month.
  15. Maybe they're anticipating a decade of production issues before this thing actually gets made.
  16. They apparently combed local middle schools until they found the right Ciri and Yennifer
  17. What, so now I'm going to be looking forward to Suicide Squad 2? Why would you do this to us, James?
  18. I stopped using gay and retarded as adjectives. That was pretty easy. Generally speaking I don't have a problem with just being cool. I don't really get my kicks by offending people. But did you know that you can't say crazy? It's an ableist slur. Even if you're not referring to a person, but a "crazy thing that happened to me this weekend". According to one fight I saw on Facebook, anyway. That might be an example of someone going out of their way to be offended by everything. Or maybe in a few years that will be included in the latest batch of adjectives that we don't use anymore.
  19. I saw them at Kroger a couple months ago, but they were way more than I felt like spending on grapes.
  20. I've never played a Kingdom Hearts game. Look at the value! I just know I would buy this, play one title for about 90 minutes, then never touch it again.
  21. I haven't seen that one yet, but I enjoyed some Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale this week. They do a quality beer.
