  1. With all the money companies and execs would save, the economy would surge with $45 million in $5 starbucks gift cards that they'd give to their employees.
  2. Whatever reason might I have been tagged in this fine post of yours, good sir? The series ended with some very obvious seeds planted for a continuation, so this is no surprise.
  3. Oh look, a solution that sounds good to idiots, does nothing to solve the issue, and makes younger voters hate them more.
  4. Alabama GOP refuses to draw second Black district, despite Supreme Court order WWW.NBCNEWS.COM House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., and Sen. Tommy Tuberville, R-Ala., have been calling state legislators about the map, which could affect control... Alabama is just... ignoring the ruling. This was the next step many have been predicting in the dissolving of US Constitutional authority. Of course it's the GOP making the first move to cheat the system.
  5. More to your point, how many black people were allowed to write and publish books at the time of Hans Christian Andersen? Or the Brothers Grimm? How many of their stories were allowed to be told, or were made famous? Preserving the "whiteness" of those European stories is also preserving the racial disparity of that time period. And what about the stories change because of their race? How do race swaps somehow affect the quality of those movies? The live action Mulan didn't change races. Pinocchio didn't change (most) of the character races. Beauty and the Beast, nope. The Lion King doesn't even apply. All much worse films than their animated counterparts. But let's make "woke" race changes the core of the issue.
  6. Wow. People like him really need to get away from the idea that these movies are terrible because of race swaps. The points about story though, definitely.
  7. Hey you know where you don't have to worry about your seat being stolen? Home. Unless you have pets.
  8. That's impressive. I discovered when I became an audiophile that...actually theater speakers kind of suck! I don't have a nice speaker system (yet) but I do have highend headphones and the clarity isn't even comparable.
  9. And any technical reasons that used to exist for watching movies in the theater, such as surround sound and big screens, are now more accessible at home than ever. There can be good experiences at the theater, like having the audience there reacting to funny moments can genuinely make them seem funnier. And you still have IMAX and 3D if you want something special. But I think by and large people have soured on the theater going experience, since it only takes one or two annoying people to ruin a movie, and the nuisance of assigned seating which a lot of theaters seem to mandate.
  10. That's pretty much what I'm thinking. Just further training on how to use the thing.
  11. It's in the trailer, so I don't think it's a spoiler, but I'll tag it anyway just in case
  12. No one told you not to put the beer bottle up there?
  13. It wasn't a stabbing, it was just probing various parts of his body to assess physical fitness.
  14. Republican attorneys general issue warning letter to Target about Pride merchandise WWW.CBSNEWS.COM The letter did not include any specific demands nor did it outline how the attorneys general believe the campaign could violate child protection laws. Peak stupidity.
  15. Oh thank god, it's 2D animation. Now I'm actually interested. Maybe in this one Kenshin will finally get to nut inside Kaoru.
  16. Well shit now I'm convinced! No way I'm seeing this worthless piece of trash now. I mean no amount of writing, editing, cinematography, music composition, acting, stunts, or effects prowess can possibly make up for the Paramount logo being missing.
