I wonder if the same parents that support their child choosing to take on life risking sports would also be against them receiving gender affirming care because "they're not old enough to make that big of a decision". -
Depends on how you define sane. From the pov of us progressives, no, never. But Trump going down as a convicted criminal, and DeSantis going down for being too extreme, might force a reset of the GOP party. A crisis of introspection. It won't change their overarching policies, but they'll be forced to clamor for a new breed of candidate that can move the needle of the widespread voting populace.

I really didn't have a hard time understanding the purpose. If you're as big as LTT, and you make claims (especially with the new LTT Labs) about accuracy, you bear a bigger responsibility than smaller outlets and companies. And going to them privately with these concerns just gives them a chance to try and bury it. I read people making claims that "well LTT is mainly going for entertainment" or "no one actually takes their reviews seriously", and I'm sorry, that's not an excuse. It's not even really accurate. You don't get to put out misinformation, claiming its true, not issuing corrections in many cases, and getting millions upon millions of views for it just because "well ha ha we're just a bunch of jokesters". The view counts on these review videos shows that, yes, people do go to LTT for these reviews. And the articles that have been circulating the news about cards like the 4060 under-performing sales-wise as a direct result of these reviews show they have impact on people's buying decisions. I don't understand the reason behind defending LTT's poor data and rushed processes. Why should they get a free pass for that?

Yes. The other things like deliberately cheapening your testing standards just to hit a video quota are dumb and potentially self-defeating, but taking a one-off prototype from a small start-up just getting off the ground, denigrating said product because you couldn't be bothered to read the instructions and test it on the card it was designed for, and then promising to send it back only to sell it at auction without permission, leaving the start-up without their intellectual property, the potential for design theft and corporate espionage, and no means of making a new one? Indefensible. Inexcusable. Illegal. Egregious, and abhorrent. Linus has said in their forums (which are currently down) in response to the video that they are compensating Billet Labs for the cost of the prototype. That's not a fix, and the harm on their reputation and ability to rebound from the prototype is probably still no longer possible.
