As I said, I'm in full agreement that systemic racism is a major problem, and I'm also not saying definitively that it isn't playing a role here. I'm just saying that I think it might be begging the question to assume so, because personally I don't feel like I have enough data to judge the situation fairly either way. If you or anyone else feels they do, ok.

Perhaps I'm being unintentionally dense, but I'm not so sure that this is an example of the (very real) issue of systemic racism. The person who misunderstood his wish for discretion as a robbery attempt is Black. She told others it was a robbery attempt and they believed her. If I'm mistaken in any of the details or in why this is actually an example of systemic racism, I'd like to learn.

Last night I watched The Shawshank Redemption. I'd never seen it, though of course I'd seen it referenced everywhere and knew the basic story. The movie still holds up exceedingly well, with stellar performances. 9.5/10

Agreed. It's a blessing and a curse; we are more aware of the horrors of war, and this can be both depressing and motivating to seek peace. I suppose it remains to be seen how exactly the pressure of the rest of the world will ultimately influence these events, but personally I find it extremely comforting, inspiring, and humbling to see just how much good there is in the world that is willing to engage and resist this great evil. And I don't think we've seen all of it yet, not by a long shot. For anyone struggling a bit, if you want someone to talk to or just listen, I offer my ears. PM me if you need some support.

Have you played Red Dead Redemption 2? Having that with DLSS enabled should be a good workout for the system.

Have you tried updating your drivers? What extensions do you have installed in Chrome?

A few days later, how are you liking it? What have you played? Did you get an i9-12900k? I have so far been kind of an idiot with my 3070 Ti and rather than playing anything new that I own (e.g. GTA V, RDR2, etc.) have mostly just played my old standby, Team Fortress 2. But it sure has been glorious maxed out at 240 FPS with G-Sync!

Yeah this sounds like a software/driver issue of some kind. What's do you see installed in the Device Manager (Windows Key + X, then 'M') under "Display Adapters"? And if you right click the item under Display Adapter and select Properties and go to the Driver tab, what do you see? Have you recently installed any new software? Does it behave this way anywhere else or only in YouTube? Does it matter which browser you're using or does it always freeze no matter what? Are you still hearing audio but just getting no video?
