  1. It better have every dick joke still intact and his girlfriend better have her ass hanging out for the entirety of the game. None of this "for modern audiences" bs.
  2. It's two discs, but you have to insert disc one to boot it up, then swap to disc two to load your save. Then if you go back to Nibelheim, you have to put disc one back in.
  3. My biggest gripe with it back in the day is that it was very front-heavy. It starts off big and open, but then gets more and more linear the further you get. Like a funnel. Then there's a point of no return that I can't remember if they warn you about or not.
  4. CoD Modern Warfare II Dead Space Remake Star Wars Jedi Survivor Dead Island 2 ...and anything in Game Pass.
  5. I don't love the fact that enemies scale.... But at the same time, I can totally see myself running up to a group of enemies and starting to hack at them, only for some lvl 50 Sorcerer to run by and kill them all in .5 seconds and not even stop running. That shit used to happen in WoW. It used to happen in Elder Scrolls Online (before they went to scaling) and it used to happen A LOT in Final Fantasy XI. (In FFXI whenever you engaged with an enemy, it was "your" enemy to fight, unless you called for help... BUT people used macros, so if you were waiting in an area for like, 20 minutes waiting for a rare mob to appear, they'd kill it before you even had a chance to react to its appearance.) I can't really say I miss that.
  6. How To Squeenix in Four Easy Steps: 1. Make Final Fantasy action-based to appeal to non-FF fans. 2. Notice that non-FF fans still don't give a shit about FF. 3. Also notice that FF fans are now no longer FF fans. 4. Wonder why new FF doesn't sell as well.
  7. I don't want everything to be a cakewalk, but at the same time I don't want to have to replay a level/boss a hundred times because it requires perfection to beat. If I feel like I'm starting to waste my time, I'm done.
  8. That's fair, and I don't blame him for waiting out the initial server shitshow. But he wasn't talking like, a few days. He was talking like it was Battlefield.
  9. I'll be getting Diablo day one, but my friend is going to wait. When I asked him why, he said he was going to wait for "a patch or two" for them to get the launch window behind them and balance the classes. I tried to explain to him that Diablo IV is going to be constantly evolving, and if he's waiting for it to be "finished" he's going to be waiting a long time. Even Diablo III was getting balance patches like, ten years later.
  10. I don't engage nearly as much as I used to. Ever since it was blatantly stated with a red banner across the top of the page that if your opinions don't align with a certain person's on here, I've just lurked for the most part. It became pretty obvious how they felt about anyone that disagreed with them, and honestly it killed all desire to participate. As I'm sure it did a lot of people on here.
  11. Is it just me or does it look exactly like Dragon's Dogma 1? I mean, that game looked good at the time, but that was fucking 360/PS3 era. This should be looking so much better than that. It still has that weird muddy/muted lighting. The original DD felt like it had a dirty window over the sun at all times.
  12. I actually kind of miss the picture-in-picture option.
  13. Can't wait to jump into a F2P MMO a year after it launches and has a bunch of added-on currencies to make things nice and convoluted! Do we get shared servers as well? I so look forward to getting griefed by Asian Level 99 power-players with all their favorite macros enabled. Yes I'm joking. Kinda.
  14. I guess it depends on how stuck-up you are. Compared to the 13-inch black and white tv I was raised on, it's pretty damn nice. The LG had image retention on the first day, which is why it went back.
  15. My johnson's always ready. I don't even own a boat.
  16. Auto-switching is enabled, plus I manually changed inputs just to make sure. Yes. It's the monitor in my game room that I use daily. I made sure everything was seated nice and snug. The ONLY thing I can think of is that one cable came out completely and I can't tell because of the mess of wires shoved up under that compartment that contains the hdd and the PSU. I haven't tried seeing if it shows up on the network. I will plug it into the LAN this evening and see if it appears.
  17. I bought a low-end LG that was shit, then exchanged it for a low-end Samsung that has been excellent.
  18. Oops. I guess with all my flustered rambling I left out a key detail. I get lights and fans when turning on the PC but no video output. Not even a logo screen or BIOS.
  19. Ours is a Sammy household. We have five Sammy TV's and one of them is the first 720p TV we bought back in 2006 and its still cranking along downstairs. Another is the 50" I bought for my wife right after we got married in 2010 (one of those 3D TV's) and it's the one she uses nightly to this day. I bought an LG once and it was kinda shit lol. I ended up returning it and getting the Sammy 4K I game on right now. So I'm not sure how I feel about this news.
