  1. I'm having a difficult time getting into the campaign, mainly because some of those quests can get pretty long. Anything that requires going into a dungeon makes me check my watch first to see if it have time. I realize that's a 'me' problem but I've never had this problem in a Diablo game before.
  2. I don't think Square Enix understands the purpose of a demo anymore. I remember the old FF demos back in the day and they'd drop you in mid-game into an exciting scenario and let you fight a cool boss or something to get you hyped. Forcing me to play the long, drawn-out intro in a scenario when we just want to get a feel for the game is not the way to go. I don't care about stories in demos. I save that for the final release. I ended up skipping a huge chunk of the cutscenes just cuz I wanted to, ya know, PLAY THE GAME. I get bored with FF's "war between two nations" backdrop that they keep revisiting for some reason. Also, anyone else get Godzilla vibes from the Titan/Shiva battle? The characters were like "Oh it's Titan. And looks who's here to meet him." Then they watched the battle from a mountain like literally every old Godzilla flick ever made. I laughed at that. I have FFXVI wishlisted but eeeehhh... I might wait for reviews to see if it's a good story or if it's a bloated mess.
  3. Avatar Cry looks like it could be good. The Star Wars game was intriguing but had me sold the second I saw space combat.
  4. I played through it on the 360. I enjoyed it. But the final boss battle suuuuuuucks.
  5. It better have every dick joke still intact and his girlfriend better have her ass hanging out for the entirety of the game. None of this "for modern audiences" bs.
  6. It's two discs, but you have to insert disc one to boot it up, then swap to disc two to load your save. Then if you go back to Nibelheim, you have to put disc one back in.
  7. My biggest gripe with it back in the day is that it was very front-heavy. It starts off big and open, but then gets more and more linear the further you get. Like a funnel. Then there's a point of no return that I can't remember if they warn you about or not.
  8. CoD Modern Warfare II Dead Space Remake Star Wars Jedi Survivor Dead Island 2 ...and anything in Game Pass.
  9. I don't love the fact that enemies scale.... But at the same time, I can totally see myself running up to a group of enemies and starting to hack at them, only for some lvl 50 Sorcerer to run by and kill them all in .5 seconds and not even stop running. That shit used to happen in WoW. It used to happen in Elder Scrolls Online (before they went to scaling) and it used to happen A LOT in Final Fantasy XI. (In FFXI whenever you engaged with an enemy, it was "your" enemy to fight, unless you called for help... BUT people used macros, so if you were waiting in an area for like, 20 minutes waiting for a rare mob to appear, they'd kill it before you even had a chance to react to its appearance.) I can't really say I miss that.
  10. How To Squeenix in Four Easy Steps: 1. Make Final Fantasy action-based to appeal to non-FF fans. 2. Notice that non-FF fans still don't give a shit about FF. 3. Also notice that FF fans are now no longer FF fans. 4. Wonder why new FF doesn't sell as well.
  11. I don't want everything to be a cakewalk, but at the same time I don't want to have to replay a level/boss a hundred times because it requires perfection to beat. If I feel like I'm starting to waste my time, I'm done.
  12. That's fair, and I don't blame him for waiting out the initial server shitshow. But he wasn't talking like, a few days. He was talking like it was Battlefield.
  13. I'll be getting Diablo day one, but my friend is going to wait. When I asked him why, he said he was going to wait for "a patch or two" for them to get the launch window behind them and balance the classes. I tried to explain to him that Diablo IV is going to be constantly evolving, and if he's waiting for it to be "finished" he's going to be waiting a long time. Even Diablo III was getting balance patches like, ten years later.
  14. I don't engage nearly as much as I used to. Ever since it was blatantly stated with a red banner across the top of the page that if your opinions don't align with a certain person's on here, I've just lurked for the most part. It became pretty obvious how they felt about anyone that disagreed with them, and honestly it killed all desire to participate. As I'm sure it did a lot of people on here.
  15. Is it just me or does it look exactly like Dragon's Dogma 1? I mean, that game looked good at the time, but that was fucking 360/PS3 era. This should be looking so much better than that. It still has that weird muddy/muted lighting. The original DD felt like it had a dirty window over the sun at all times.
  16. Honestly, I don't remember anything about Twin Snakes other than it was on Gamecube and I played it and it was a game.
