  1. Is your silver sword under powered compared to your steel sword? In the early levels, the difference between 1-2 levels of swords can be meaningful.
  2. Wraiths and Spectres are impacted by Yrden. If they are within the circle you do normal damage. If they aren’t, your attacks are nerfed.
  3. PC Just Cause 4 GTA V (only played ~6 hours) Divinity: Original Sin1&2 The Witness DMC 5 Nioh Wolfenstein: Youngblood Xcom 1&2
  4. Witcher 3 is different than most other open world games, in that you will only ever unlock a small fraction of the abilities, because you will only get a relatively small amount of ability points (I am ~150 hours in, level 50 and mid-way through the final DLC) and are only able to make a small amount of them active. TBH I believe there is a huge advantage in specializing your build, rather than spreading across different ability types: 1) There are 4-tiers of abilities in each colour group, which are each unlocked by using a specific number of ability points in the previous tier 2) The abilities seem to get more powerful as you go up the tiers 3) Some abilities can be upgraded up to 5 times, each one will improve the modifier 4) Combining character abilities in the same "group" with mutagens of the same colour give additional bonuses. My build focuses on fast attack, with some strong attack -- along with School of the Cat (wearing light armour all around) -- and I'm using the first upgrade tier for Quen and Axii (for the additional dialog options). TBH -- you may not want to go this way. I am finding the combat REALLY easy (I started on "normal" difficulty, but moved up to "hard" mid-way through), and it has gotten easier as I have levelled up. (There are also respec potions that are available later in the game, but I never used one.) Levelling up gives you more Vitality (HP points), gives you access to more powerful weapons/armour, gives you ability points (to spend on character abilities) and gives you access to more character ability slots. Additionally, when you fight mobs that have a higher level than you do, your attacks are nerfed, and their attacks are buffed.
  5. Week 6 Feature Game Arizona Cardinals $3,000 QUESTIONS 1) Cardinals TD 2) Cardinals 3) Green Bay, Kansas City 4) Raheem Mostert 5) N.Y. Giants, Green Bay, Kansas City 6) NY Giants / Washington FBT 7) KC/Buffalo 8) Derrick Henry, Stefon Diggs
  6. The story and characters for Witcher 3 are among the best of any game I have played -- and the way the game handles player choice is probably the best. However, the combat is mediocre, the traversal is a let-down, it lacks much of the "quality of life" features that you expect in a more modern RPG (for instance, it doesn't let you know when you are near a quest objective), and the encumbrance and weapon wear suck. If it was just the story/RPG elements, it might be among my Top 5 games of the past few years -- but the "gameplay" knocks it further down the list. This. Unfortunately, it makes the whole combat really easy -- I haven't bothered to use a potion in combat since the beginning few hours.
  7. Playing a lot of SW:Squadrons multiplayer. Enjoying it quite a bit.
  8. Have we seen anything about WD:L's Ray Tracing usage on console -- or ANYTHING shown on console? Recommended specs for PC, without ray tracing, is a 2080Ti @4k.
  9. It may deserve it, but RDR2 proved that gameplay doesn't really matter with huge open world games when it comes to reviews. If you have great graphics, good writing and an interesting story you will get a high opencritic average. Witcher 3 proves that CDPR have the chops to hit on the graphics/writing/story.
  10. The Beta is out for this. Shame that it doesn't support Squadrons -- what good is a launcher that doesn't work with the new games?
  11. @Slug -- Are you picking Josh Jacobs this week for rushing? Raiders have a bye.
  12. I am expecting the Raiders defence to get lit up by the Chiefs tomorrow. Assuming that happens, tomorrow night would be the perfect night to let go of Paul Guenther (the third-year Raiders DC) -- the Raiders have had a bottom three rated defence (by DVOA) in every year of his tenure (the only defence in the NFL to accomplish this dubious honour). The obvious candidate would be for Rod Marinelli to be promoted to DC -- and while he had a dubious record while in Dallas, at least he managed a middle-of-the-pack defence for each of his years in Dallas. That would be a HUGE improvement for the Raiders.
  13. I think you're right about the relatively short shelf-life of the multi-player -- I can see myself getting bored of it in a few weeks. I'm playing with randos -- so the meta I'm seeing may be different. But, in most Fleet maps, while playing Rebel, I am seeing most of my squad mates in Y-Wings while I rack up the kills with an A-Wing on their bombers -- I went 25-8 last night against that strategy. The Tie Bomber is too slow/lumbering to deal with an A-Wing coming up its side (and the overcharge on an A-Wing rapid fire (and shields for that matter) lasts a LONG time after you move the energy flow. Tie Interceptor doesn't work quite as well though...
  14. The NFL doesn't really have any good options with regards to the Titans. Any team playing them in the near future should have a guaranteed W -- they have barely practiced and are missing a ton of players.
