  1. Yeah it's very much GoT in terms of the world is filled with mostly grey people and some selfish people mostly in control. Here's a fun article I remember reading on that analogy. Why 'The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt' Is Better Than 'Game Of Thrones' WWW.FORBES.COM We'll address an important distinction first. One of these things -- The Witcher 3 -- is a video game. The other -- Game of Thrones -- is a TV show (unless otherwise specified, I'm talking about the show). These two media are different, there's no way around it: one is [...] He is... not a good person. Fitting the theme above though, he's a wonderfully complex character.
  2. It is very stunning and immersive. You'll probably end up playing it again when the raytracing patch comes out for this reason.
  3. Same for me. Mostly gaming and video, but I do use it for the web for a non-trivial amount of time. Not sure it it matters but I do: - Use an aggressive screensaver, or just turn off the TV if I need to walk away - Use dark themes for everything - And use the gaming TV mode (obviously)
  4. Here I am like a stooge having my work dominate my life for like 12 months out of the year.
  5. Since this thread got bumped, I just saw your response here and agree a lot with it. My favorite existential moment is the end of AC2 subverting expectations. I also love how that builds into Ezio's character in subsequent games and how he responds to it and his place at the very end of Revelations. Living through his whole life was such a great trip.
  6. Tensor cores are awesome but where you really see their benefit is in the training phase. It's plausible the new AMD GPUs are perfectly fine for running upscaling nets. It's hard to evaluate these things on PC though because the other thing nvidia really has going for them in the ML space is highly optimized libraries and drivers and the benefits from that alone are huge. Conceivably consoles makers could overcome that limitation with their own software. So I'd agree, nothing certain but there is indeed hope and more so in the console space than the PC GPU space.
  7. They story was definitely good, and the only reason I finished it. I'd still place Witcher's story above it though. It had me more invested in the characters with a bigger payoff.
  8. Ah okay. I think you can still use it as a regular input port, but I do use mine for the ARC out, so it's currently busy
  9. Huh. That's interesting. Maybe our TVs are different because my port 2 is my ARC out port.
  10. Interesting! Which port did you switch to? I also have a C9 so it should the same one. My understanding was that on the C9 all the input ports were the same 2.1 ports, but maybe that's wrong?
  11. You have to contact your "Local LG Service Center," whatever that means See here (and the rest of the video if you're interested)
  12. As Spork relayed this seems to be the known issue. Mine is a bit weirder. When I go above 60hz exactly half my screen is black The firmware is already mostly done it seems, because you can ask LG to give it to you ahead of their next scheduled release and they will oblige. I'm just going to wait for the full public release though. HDR *should* work though... I tried Squadrons last night in 4K and it automatically switched to HDR and worked (at 60hz). It might be that you don't want to do it through windows though.
  13. Nope. Still working I stopped briefly to unbox it and turn it on. But I'll be setting things up soon!
  14. Something came early, and for once I don't mean me! 9-C3-A3127-FB86-45-B8-BE56-5819-F2655-FA2 IBB.CO Image 9-C3-A3127-FB86-45-B8-BE56-5819-F2655-FA2 hosted in ImgBB
  15. So much this. Jesus what a waste of fucking time that question was. "Hi I'm young and don't pay attention to anything, why do you all yell?"
