  1. Yeah I'm not usually keen on major retcons, but it's bad enough to warrant it.
  2. If you don't know, you when you're in the options screen, there is a key press that it will show on the side that lets you configure a number of HDR options so you can tune it to your TV/monitor. Not sure if it will help, but can't hurt to try! I certainly tweaked mine a bit. Here's one set of recommendations: The Best ‘Cyberpunk 2077’ Graphics And HDR Settings To Transform It On PlayStation And Xbox WWW.FORBES.COM Cyberpunk 2077 is looking rough on many verisons of PlayStation and Xbox, but there are some graphics settings and HDR tweaks that can improve that.
  3. From the sounds of things, that sounds like the right decision even if you're not a graphics whore, because it seems like the game runs like dog shit on previous gen consoles
  4. The three choices were just bad, even with the patch. They're thrown at you in the last minute with some huge new heavily contrived info dump and every choice goes against what the game was about before that and doesn't even give you a good understanding about what your choice really means rendering it a pretty unsatisfying "choice." Destroy: Oh you spent the last three games turning the Geth from a villain into an ally, talking about how you're stronger together without sacrificing each other? Sorry they're doomed to kill you all, we couldn't possibly be wrong about this, so genocide it is. Control: You just minutes before were telling the Illusive Man that you can't control the Reapers, they control you? Naa it's cool you're Shepard try anyway and become the Galaxy tyrant. Sure, much of yourself will be lost in the process, but what could go wrong? Synthesis: How about we just mandate some vague notion of "evolution" onto ever single living being in the Galaxy whether they want it or not? Don't worry, you'll actually all still be yourselves, you'll just superficially have green lines on your face. But trust us, these meaningless green lines on your face will make all the difference in stopping wars between "synths" and "organics" because now you all have a superficial similarity! It was fucking awful. But otherwise the I love those fucking games.
  5. I actually haven't had any meaningful bugs on PC yet. It seems plausible to me that the pre-D1P copy reviewers played was much worse.
  6. Yes. My V needs that fucking gun so bad. I started with a bunch of intel with hacking, but I think I got the core perks wanted and am mainly focusing on blades now. Running between cover and dicing people up is super fun.
  7. Somehow I had missed all this. How very disappointing. I'm totally down with MBJ taking over the mantle.
  8. Meh. I think The Last Jedi was the best, but still only okay. The TFA was second most mediocre and TRoS was laughably bad. And the last one being the worst really taints it. Especially since it undoes some of what made TLJ better than the others.
  9. I finally got my PC configured correctly for my LG C9 running 4K at 120hz with Gsync and it's been awesome. In nightime 4K using ultra performance DLSS I'm getting 70-85fps in night time of Night City. We'll see how it does in some of the more demanding areas, but it feels really fucking good at that frame rate
  10. Would have preferred it in post OT. I want to pretend the ST never happened.
  11. Yup, and CDPR will continue to release a bunch of free stuff and improvements after that too. They are historically very good about making improvements and giving away free content.
  12. I've played just a little so far. Game looks damn good on a PC with a 3080. Going to be diving in more deeply tomorrow evening and Friday.
  13. There are some great choices in here. I want to add Persona 5's sound track. This is one of my favorites.
  14. This awesome keynote talk from the other night at NeurIPS (and AI conference) seems relevant. All about bias in and negative outcomes in current AI work and what we should be doing as scientists in the future to mitigate it. NeurIPS 2020 : You Can’t Escape Hyperparameters and Latent Variables: Machine Learning as a Software Engineering Enterprise NIPS.CC Jump to the 29 minute mark in the video to watch it.
  15. I know who Chuck Yeager is, but clearly not enough to understand this relationship
