People on FB are saying my husband was a predator
LazyPiranha replied to CastlevaniaNut18's topic in The Shower
With an age gap that relatively small, I think it comes down more to behavior that anything else. We used to call people who graduated but still came back to hit on the younger girls crater scrapers because they were either creeps or because no woman their age was interested in them. When you’re 19 and hitting on the 15-16 year olds who are amazed you have a car, then you’re just weird. I don’t know what is pin down the number to, but once you have no valid reason to be in the high school sphere, if you’re reinserting yourself into it I’d say you’ve entered creep territory. One of my best friends was a year below me in high school, and once he was out I never had anything to do with that place ever again. I moved at the same time which certainly made it easier, but even if I was still around there isn’t a chance in hell I’d be going in those circles for anything. Your situation is different than that, so I’d say it doesn’t apply, but given the same age gap and a different setup? Sure. -

Man if you think Automata’s second playthrough is a slog, don’t ever play the original. -
Neo-Nazis march in Florida.

I think a lot of people want to come up with reasons and excuses for the Trump era, and a lot of them are trying really hard to downplay the fact that a LOT of people just flat out agree with him and think the way he thinks. Air time and uncritical coverage only get you so far, if putting something in front of your face endlessly was all it took then this entire message board would be nothing but threads about Raid Shadow Legends. I still maintain that the far bigger problem is social media then time on cable. Pre-social media if a weird Nazi offshoot in Florida made national news what was an aspiring chud in Nebraska to do? Move? Get an out of state phone book and start cold calling? Put out feelers in the local community? Your options were limited and dangerous at least in the reputation context. Now though, you can immediately connect with the same group online and anyone else with the same idea countrywide. Traditional media just hasn’t caught up to the modern problem. Honestly, I think directly quoting them is less of a problem than directly naming them and their organization. -
I don’t think there’s a genuine or easy solution to the problem. I don’t think there should be a hard age cutoff, a significant portion of our country is elderly and we shouldn’t cut them off at the knees politically even if the boomers are particularly problematic. Them dragging us down isn’t fixed by a younger generation completely forsaking them, it just changes the unfairness.

Neo-Nazis march in Florida.

Honestly, the cybertruck’s only redeeming feature is that it seems tailor made to be driven into a group of nazis at high speed. -

He was in the sense that the GOP was along for the ride. He was never winning that war with the public at large and I don’t think he ever will be. The republican line was always that this was political revenge, the election was stolen, etc. Trump didn’t change that message, it was there all along. He could have rode the exact same wave without implicating himself at every turn.

General Gaming ~*D1P's Games of 2023*~

13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim Pocket Card Jockey: Ride On! Bayonetta 3 Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare (GBC) Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart Link’s Awakening (Switch) No More Heroes 3 Nier Replicant some decimal or another Stray Immortality —————————————— Fear and Hunger I picked this up after watching Eyepatch Wolf playing it. It looks like a 16 bit top down RPG, but it’s systems and story are both very interesting. It combines elements of a roguelike, an immersive sim, and a survivor horror game all into one. While it has RPG elements like stats and turn based combat, there is no experience system at all. The only way to have better attack, defense, etc. is to find armor and weapons, but virtually every lootable object in the game is random, and not even random from a starting seed. If you die and continue from a save, everything you loot will be different from the first time. Combat works on a limb system where basically every enemy has legs, arms, a torso, and head to deal with and frequently each one will get a turn in order. You can usually one shot an enemy to the head, but you will almost always miss unless you take out their legs first, but if you take out the legs first that leaves their arms free to attack. Enemies with blades can and will cut off your limbs which you can’t back (sort of) meaning you will never hold a shield or be able to dash again for the rest of the game. You are constantly losing hunger and sanity and need to balance those with the rare items you will get and have to figure out what is going to start slipping in favor of something else. Do you use a piece of cloth to stop a party member from bleeding, or use it to make a torch you need to see? The story is heavily… inspired by Berserk, and talking too much about it would give away a lot of the appeal of piecing together what the hell is going on. The short version is you pick a starting character and each have a reason to go into the dungeon of Fear and Hunger where a knight named Le’Garde has been imprisoned to find him. As a warning, the game takes its Berserk inspirations all the way. It is bleak and brutal and frequently has awful things in it including a fair amount of sexual assault both implied and directly shown. Granted these are 16 bit sprites, but still. It can feel a little try hard at times, but at other times it does manage to capture that specific kind of reality defying horror that Berserk pulls off. if any of that sounds intriguing, I’d watch the Eyepatch Wolf video on it to see if it’s your style. It’s a mostly single dev indie RPG maker game so it is somewhat buggy at times, but I liked my time with it. -
I haven’t had a proper energy drink in ages, and I saw a mega-man themed one for sale so I figured what the hell. It was blue slushee flavored zero sugar, tasted like ass, I only drank half of it and I felt like my chest was being squeezed the rest of the day, and I’m a heavy coffee drinker. Never again.
