  1. I’m glad it looks chunkier. I hope there are user assignable paddles. or Sony should make a premium controller.
  2. Is your processor as slow as mine? how does it perform in games now? I was gonna wait until Intel releases their 10700k or whatever AMD release thats equivalent. That's dependant on a March/April release. Now I'm leaning back to getting a 5700XT... But I dont want to build a new PC only to know my GPU is a half measure and see all the cool kids playing with their Ampere GPUs in July. At the same time I'm probably hyping Ampere up in my head.
  3. We'll be in a pickle together. I had my hopes up for Ampere in March/April, but rumors right now are saying Ampere is June 2020 and a 2080Ti refresh could arrive in March/April. That does make more sense from Nvidia typical release schedule. If I build in April its going to be whatever can get me 60fps @ 1440p high/ultra settings in Cyberpunk.
  4. I came to a similar conclusion so I held off on a purchase. I was thinking about just waiting until my new build in April, even though GPUs might not be any different, but now you that mentioned GTX 1060 Ebay prices I might look into a 6GB used version of the card. It looks like I can get 60FPS in most games at high detail in 1080p I knew there would be a FPS bottle neck with the 2500k, but thought I could power through it for 6 months. (if I didnt get stuttering) My concern is still that I will buy a used GTX 1060 now for $120, then in April, after i build a new system, I will be buying a 5700XT for $399, the same price it is now. The only hope I have are price drops, but thats not very likely in April. I guess I could save for a RTX 2070 or 2080 and that should be good for a couple years at 1440p. Maybe if the 2080Ti Super comes out it will lower prices of other RTX cards, but I cant get my hopes up about that.
  5. Thats tempting and 1080Ti is a beast and usaully beats the 5700XT but deals on Newegg for a $399 5700 XT include Borderlands 3 + 3 months of MS Game Pass. Plus I've never been into buying used or refurb hardware. thank you
  6. I’m leaning towards a 5700 XT now. There are some decent bonuses on Newegg and the 5700 is a quicker card. I don’t care about ray tracing right now.
  7. I was planning a new build with Nvidia Ampere before Cyberpunk 2077 releases in April. Because Ampere most likely won't come out until June, I need a GPU as a stop gap between now and Ampere's release. I'm using a 660Ti with an Intel 2500k so PC gaming has been a little rough, I've just been avoiding it. I'm looking for a good 1080p card now to play my backlog then in April, when I make a new PC build, I plan on jumping to 1440p. Think an RTX 2060 would work well for me as a stop gap between now and when a 2080 equivalent Ampere comes out? I was also considering an RTX 2070 and waiting until 2021 maybe. Cyberpunk 2077 at maybe 1440p 60fps is the end goal. There have been some decent deals on the 2060s lately.
  8. I’ve been playing Luigi’s Mansion 3. I just got to the 8th floor. I’m enjoying it for the most part.
  9. i5-2500k 16GB DDR3 GTX 660Ti 500GB Samsung SSD + 2TB HDD Windows 10 Im hoping to do a full upgrade by March.
  10. Thanks. I just to buy the 3D Castlevania games and noticed I had already purchased them... I have a back log problem.
  11. that’s a nice pre-order bonus. Now until April 2020 will make my wallet scream.
  12. How does it look and feel? Other than color issues, does it feel as smooth as GSync on a computer monitor? Does it feel like the future of living room gaming?
  13. This is a day one for me, but I wish Nintendo released it a week earlier. The Halloween season is done by November 1st. Target has a unique online pre-order bonus: Link I want the bag but if you pre-order on the website, you most likely wont get the game on release day. I may pre-order the game online for the bag, then buy the game in-store on launch day, then return the unopened online order when it arrives. It will be a hassle.
  14. I would listen to everything Rachel said. I hope you and the cat are ok.
  15. How would everyone feel if some of the CG effects were updated? I think people would be less sensitive than they were with Star Wars. Especially if they were more conservative with how things were updated and some just re-rendered to 4k. Even at the time of release I remember some of the effects being iffy but you gave them a pass because the volume of effects was tremendous. I wouldn't want them to CG over practical effects of course. Off the top of my head they could change Gollum's design in Fellowship to fit the final design in Two Towers. The infamous Legolas and the elephant sequence could be re-worked a bit. Can Peter Jackson even do CG nowadays without going completely overboard like with everything else he's made since?
  16. I didnt like Hobbit in 3D HFR but I want to try out 120fps Gemini Man. My only issue is that HFR is not playing in my city... I make take a drive to Vegas just to see it in 120fps.
  17. I'm not sure all the movie times are posted, but the earliest I can see for around me is October 23rd.
  18. I've been craving an online FPS and this might be it. I like Apex, but battle royal is only fun in small bursts for me. I've never really played a COD online before, if that sounds strange. But a couple friends plan on getting it for the PS4 so I might also.
  19. We Happy Few for PS4. I started it yesterday and I'm not sure I like it yet. The game is a little more janky than I was expecting but it was a big project from an indie developer.
  20. I notice a few other users on Reset regularly, Wade most of all. I don't post on Reset that much, but I'll keep coming back here for sure. Probably for PC building suggestions when Zen 2 launches.
  21. My 2500k is giving me the side eye right now. I think this year is the year I go AMD with a 3800x.
  22. I still lurk from time to time. I've been trying to make an effort to come back here. Like many of you, I'm on Reset often too.
