  1. Cop gets to keep his job even after it became public that had a picture of Hitler hung up in his locker. He gets to keep it because there aren't enough members of the town council who think it's problematic. Cool. Massachusetts town says it can't fire officer for Hitler pic that hung in his locker for decades WWW.BOSTON.COM Officer Craig Eichhammer has said he hung the photo to make fun of a fellow officer who resembled Hitler.
  2. Sounds like this is being taken up as a right to repair issue. I'm all for it.
  3. Someone's already made a script to help folks send in realistic, fake bounty requests.
  4. You need to double the rattle snake venom, eye drops are the way to go, and you should skip the zinc and shoot for 20,000mg of potassium. Like, a whole bottle of the over-the-counter 99mg pills you can get at CVS.
  5. Ha! Dems will agree to not go after phone records on the promise that the targets will testify before the committee...not under oath...then they'll just never show up. Dems will bitch about rule of law at some pointless press conference that captures the attention of like twenty people and every conservative talking head will praise these Republicans for not taking part in the farse to their audience of 10s of millions.
  6. Looks like there are a bunch of Massachusetts school districts that are planning to ignore the order to not offer any remote learning this coming school year. 7 Massachusetts School Districts To Offer Full-Time Remote Learning To Students This Fall BOSTON.CBSLOCAL.COM Thirteen districts applied to the state to start remote learning academies. Seven will welcome students this fall. Sounds like they're getting around the no remote order by opening new "schools" that are fully remote that any parent can send their kids to.
  7. Which will be even better because the vaccine will have some its thing, he'll be just fine, and everyone will thank the horse dewormer.
  8. These days, PBS Kids. If I am working, I prefer silence, but I do like some background noise when I'm cleaning. That usually ends up being music or an audio book, I'm currently going through Caesar's Last Breath. If it's going to be TV, maybe sometimes something like How it's Made since it's not really distracting.
  9. Enough that it's sold out at many feed stores, places online, and Poison Control in various states are being inundated with calls regarding it.
  10. This is why boosters for anyone that wants it. I'd rather everyone I know get boosters than just see this stuff be incinerated. My city had to resort to door to door vaccinations last month and we're still only 60% vaccinated. That's with multiple clinics, pharmacies, stores, a mobile clinic that services different neighborhoods everyday, and a fucking food truck that goes door to door trying to jab folks with that sweet mRNA.
  11. Well worth the watch, even if a lot of this is stuff you already knew... Getting 100 customized headsets for a giveaway is a wildly tempting offer from a company. Even if you don't think they're all that great, subscribers to the channel would probably love the freebie, and it increases engagement on the videos themselves. I can easily see how a marketing department would consider that a win win.
  12. We, as a nation, don't really do that thing called learning. We're so wrapped up in the idea of American exceptionalism that we simply refuse to believe that the folks threatening violence will actually act upon it because there are just too many of them or because they hold government offices or because of whatever excuse we can come up with that day. Even when they get violent, half this country will just pretend it never happened and the press will treat it like a matter of opinion. At some point, we need to just start believing people. I'd say a terrorist attack would do the trick, but we've had dozens over there last decade and it hasn't even sort of moved the needle. I'm sure the increase in violent rhetoric is just for show, though. Nothing bad would actually happen, right? It's just political theater. This is America. Racial, right-wing violence hasn't ever been a problem in this country.
  13. I like that he had a role in ruling out Ken Jennings because of past tweets. Ken Jennings' problematic tweets reportedly cost him Jeopardy! job WWW.AVCLUB.COM Fans' opinion on Ken Jennings drastically changed after an ableist tweet resurfaced
  14. This really screams of football squad made up of homeschooled kids being run by someone looking to make as much money off parents and whoever else is paying attention.
  15. We really should be vaccinating anyone on US soil that asks. I don't know if they can cry about the vaccine going to undocumented while also crying that the vaccine doesn't work and will kill you. I mean, I'm sure they'd find a way. Internal contradictions aren't exactly an issue for them.
  16. Those funds were never going out. The hoops people have to jump through are ridiculous. Even when someone meets the wage requirements, they still may not be approved any support. I know people that have forgone food to make rent and Internet so their kids can still attend online classes. Those people don't qualify because they aren't behind in rent. Even if they were, they'd need their landlord to approve getting this money because we've decided to not trust people to pay for their own rent.
  17. I'm so happy our school district has decided to regularly test students and faculty. Does that mean my wife and son are going to get nose swabs very often? Yeah, but that's fine. It's not the deep sinus swab, so whatever. Better than just praying people aren't sick or lying about being exposed.
