  1. I'd imagine the interview between Comey and Trump's little trained minions looks something like this....
  2. I understand if they go no where because of a partisan Senate, but if Mueller doesn't ring Trump up for obstruction than the whole concept might as well be meaningless.
  3. We joke about a third term for God-Emperor Trumpgustus, but a serious thought just occurred to me. What if he loses in in 2020 and then, due to the Senate completely hamstringing President Warren, he runs again in 2024 and wins. As bad as two consecutive terms would be, imagine breaking them up. I can think of few things more depressing than the idea that I would be 47 before we finally got rid of him for good. He'd probably get 6 or 7 SCOTUS picks that way, too if a GOP Senate decides to hold up seats for Dems entire terms going forward.
  4. I hope he answered them on a day when Trump was being especially colicky. You know, one of those days when you just wanna hold them under some water until the air bubbles stop.
  5. Being someone who despises Trump and follows all his scandals closely it concerns me when I take a step back and realize how desensitized to this stuff I have become. But it fucking terrifies me to think probably 80-90% of the country less is engaged than me and is even more indifferent.
  6. Meanwhile, they whine about election fraud while stealing a House seat in NC. At this point GOP officially stands for Grand Ol Projection.
  7. I haven't watched Antman yet, but I have heard things about its ending and theories about what it means.
  8. This is insanity. The White House has no plan for what to do when the Mueller report drops. At this point I kind of feel like if we can't take down this trove of crackpots, conmen, and amateurs then we really don't deserve to have a Democracy anyway. Anyway, here is a baffling quote from Guiliani that, just left floating out there, sure sounds like he is calling Trump stupid or incompetent....
  9. There are protests, and Dems have lawsuits teed up. Not sure what else you can do. I hear Evers openly asked Walker not to sign it. While he is a human sponge saturated with cum, it's worth putting pressure on him because it will be a hard question for him to answer if he ever wants to run for president again.
  10. I like how he basically tried to be all action movie one liner, but he is so fickle he can't even get through a Tweet without contradicting himself.... "It's either now or never.....or eventually."
  11. My first thought when seeing that was that French Hattori Hanzo would make a baggett katana.
  12. When I read the thread title, my guess was that Hawking requested his ashes be shot into space
  13. These mother fuckers. If there was a Catholic vs. Protestant religious war the MSM would post countless think pieces about how it is atheist's fault. I get the idea that more secular governing doesn't necessarily coincide in exact proportion to the religiosity of the people we elect....but fuck. Donald Trump got over 80% of the Evangelical vote. The only thing that tipped a religious group away from Trump was basically if Trump was actively trying to oppress that religion and/or the race of that group. Meanwhile, the religiously unaffiliated went against Trump more than any group except Jews. That includes groups such as Hispanic Catholics. Fuck this article, and fuck anyone who tries to pretend religion isn't a big part of the problem here(let alone the fucking solution).
  14. If he gets a second term I predict we'll get our first footage of a presidential stair lift in action.
  15. I think the Pod Save guys summed up the problem with HW. While it is not solely their fault, what you see with the modern Republican party is that more and more the ugliness, deceit, and vitriol that HW and W ran their campaigns with has seeped into how Republicans govern. Their shortcoming was in thinking that you could both court and stoke such negativity and ignorance during campaigns for decades and continue to "turn it off" when it's time to govern. Eventually, that's just who your base is.
  16. If you guys missed it, I strongly suggest you give a watch to Maddow's opening segment from this past Friday. She has consistently done great segments tying various aspects of this investigation together while most of the rest of the press treats each new Trump scandal as it's own separate thing. And this one is very good. It was mostly in response to Cohen's guilty plea, but it contains tantalizing connections to Flynn and Manafort that even those of us who follow this shit constantly probably forgot about(because there's just SO much, I can't even...) It's especially worth watching in light of Mueller confirming that Flynn gave "useful information" and "firsthand accounts of the Trump transition team's contacts with Russia"
  17. When you put together no prison time, with the fact that Mueller put off this sentencing multiple times I see two possible reasons this is happening now. Either Mueller leaned on him for months and Flynn just finally gave in, or Mueller really is entering the endgame and so this amounts to another example of Mueller giving us a peak behind the curtain. My guess is the latter. I have never put much stock in any of the past "Mueller may be wrapping things up" rumors, but this time it really does seem like things are coming to a head.
  18. It's all but impossible to not appear to be bad mouthing Trump at these events because of what and abnormally horrible human he is. If a speaker praises Bush for "standing up for democratic norms, being a devoted family man, and just an all around nice person" it will be hailed as a stinging rebuke of Trumpian ideals.
  19. I want them to do this with facial hair so we can see the lower half of Captain Kirk's face blurred out on reruns of the mirror universe episode.
  20. This isn't far removed from him just getting on Twitter and explicitly telling everyone if they lie to protect him he'll give them a pardon.
  21. That sounds like you gave first season Data all of Donald Trump's memories and then he had a stroke. @Jason
