  1. I think the recycled aerosolized droplets/air indoors is more the concern.
  2. At least you know and you're honest about it! I know I'm on the fringes, and Kaufman is going more and more in that direction as he becomes older and even more sad/irate (rightfully so) at the world. Being John Malkovich almost looks nice and happy by comparison, and that had sad puppetry in it.
  3. I actually think Synecdoche, NY and Anomalisa are his most mature, most honest works. I love Being John Malkovich, Adaptation, and Eternal Sunshine more, but I think the former two are saying more and are "better" but the latter three are more entertaining and for slightly bigger mass consumption, since the works are easier and more straightforward to parse.
  4. All completely true. Le sigh. People really need to be worried about that link/electoral college, not polls. It's the 67% favorability towards Republicans that will allow Trump to win (on top of his cheating).
  5. Math has already explained that the electoral college is 67% inherently in a Republicans favor. It's not the polls. So it's not per se the polls. https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2019/9/17/20868790/republicans-lose-popular-vote-win-electoral-college It's why, in part, Bush won in 2000 and why Trump won in 2016.
  6. This. Archer is still very funny, but the three coma seasons definitely varied in quality, with Danger Island being the best, Archer 1999 having some great episodes and some real weak ones, and then the Hollywood noir first coma season was meh. This new season dealing with the passing of three years and no Archer influence looks great. Both shows, particularly It's Always Sunny, are better than ever.
  7. That's what I was thinking, but surely he'd be aware of the comments on his movies about it at this point, but perhaps not.
  8. I've been keeping an eye on this, if I can finish Control DLC fast enough (almost done) and Halo 3: ODST doesn't come out too soon (it may), I may get this as my in-between. Brings back major memories.
  9. Ah, I see, this makes a lot of sense, appreciate it! So long as they have those games up there then.
  10. This is indeed the problem. It should have been called The Kung Fu Kid, it's all messed up. But, it would be cool if Jackie showed up (not as Miyagi's son, but in general).
  11. Let's also all remember, as of present, you literally cannot make this kind of movie today. Eventually, I assume.
  12. The connection could start/begin . . . in the show. I'm so glad I brought up the secret 5th Karate Kid movie. Maybe even the animated series from 1989 is canon!
  13. Or the fact it's co-written and directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, with a writing assist from Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
  14. Yep, you are correct - first three episodes drop all at once today (the first two directed by Ridley Scott himself, the third by his son, Luke Scott, who has done shorts for Ridley in the past) and the one new episode each week every Thursday. It also looks like it will be a ten episode season overall. https://decider.com/2020/09/03/raised-by-wolves-hbo-max-episode-4-release-date/
  15. Both of these posts reflect my feelings on the film as well. It gets a bad rap, but maybe a re-edit could make it better. I actually prefer Apocalypse Now Redux (which I know is heresy) more than the original because it becomes, I think, a more complete, complex, and meditative film than the more straightforward 2/3's of the original film. The transition into the surreal last act is smoother, plus, I always love more footage explaining more things (but that's just me). So who knows.
  16. Thank you! This was all extremely informative and helpful. I'm a big emulation guy, it's a big reason I don't bother with Nintendo systems anymore (all Nintendo games look gorgeous in emulation, for the most part). No "on the go" aspect, which the Switch provides, but I'm not a big handheld guy anyway, my Switch would likely always remain docked. I don't necessarily think Mario requires 60fps, but I was curious why it just wouldn't be provided in a remaster.
  17. Just to be very clear: wanting someone to be a better person and have exhibited better judgment in their decision making and life choices IS NOT THE SAME, per se, as victim blaming. Sure, there's potential overlap one needs to be careful/wary of, but they are not the same thing. Trying to argue the two are the same is dangerous. A desire for others to exhibit even the most basic better judgment that one expects and wanting them to be a morally better person (in Sanders case) can't be hard to understand.
  18. Ah, well, I haven't had a Nintendo system since the Wii, so that explains why I don't know.
  19. That's still SNES and GBA though! I wasn't sure, if so, that's good! That's good! But I don't see that to be the case on Nintendo's online shop (checking Nintendo's official website)? Seems Super Mario World is only on the 3DS and Wii U shops, not the Switch shop. As for Super Mario World 2, it seems to only be on the Wii U shop, not the Switch shop (nor 3DS shop). Still, should be part of the bundle at this point. And what about my other questions!? Edit: Note that both the Advance version and the original SNES version of both Super Mario World and Super Mario World 2 are on the Wii U shop. I don't see anything for Switch though.
