Television Capital on Netflix

Someone who doesn't psychologically, physically, or mentally abuses their child in any way (within reason). Someone who isn't negligent, raising their children blindly by the seat of their pants without really knowing what their doing. They should have mental and emotional intelligence and discipline, and raise their children understanding the sheer existential weight of their responsibilities as a parent. Stuff like that, that I never/rarely see. -
The whole "dirty Prince" thing is doubly funny since, as a Persian, I can tell you, that Persian men are very big on self care, culturally speaking. So, like, a dirty, unwashed Persian? Sounds like a Hindu's wet dream, I'm just saying . . . Like, this is what my Persian friends look like (stock image below), overwhelmingly (of course, poor/uneducated Persians don't look like this, but we're talking about the fucking Prince). I'm just saying, the Prince is supposed to be the Persian who fucks.

I did see that and I do believe he's Muslim, but one guy doesn't make me feel much better about it since in India the amount of pressure to do things the way Hindus want to do it must seem pretty insurmountable presently. I'm speculating, but yeah. India has the second largest population of Muslims in the world I believe, yet they are a significant minority to the billion plus Hindus also living there (I know you know this, I'm just putting this out there generally).

That would be dope. I assume it's whatever Luminous Studios has been doing, even though Hajime Tabata leaving wasn't a good sign. Project Athia/Agni's Philosophy has been in the works forever, I assume that will be what will become FF16. The fact that Square has been making nothing internally for a long while now (all that's out on the horizon now is FF7R Episode II). From a giant studio? It's weird.

The books explain why technology is the way it is in great detail. This is a post-science fiction world, where future tech that the humans of their present use but don't quite understand, etc. Not sure if you meant this in jest or not but it is explained in the books. It's a unique universe with very strange and unique ways of combat. I actually thought it made the former two look better than they actually are haha. To be fair, I never minded the Sci-Fi miniseries. It's as good as that could have been, I think.

Maybe not true, but every parent I know is a bad parent on one level or another compared to my standard. Most are floating through life, not even realizing the level and weight of the responsibility of bringing new lives into this world. So yeah, parents mostly suck, fuck 'em. It's anecdotal evidence, I grant, but it's not like the news dissuades me from this notion at all either on a macro scale. It reaffirms it. -

This is true, except the ones who figure it out are probably the only ones who should be having kids. Oh, the irony! -

Well I'll certainly be watching this! Thanks for the heads up. As a person who follows pattern recognition in human history myself, I find this stuff fascinating, because it makes future problems so easy to avoid. Too bad no one learned from Seldon in Foundation and instead humans act like idiots who never learn from history, as if every generation has amnesia. -
Like, people are saying: maybe this is good enough? WTF? This is fucking Prince of Persia. C'mon guys, this is some real BS. It's not like Muslims have a lot to rally around, how do you fuck up Prince of Persia? If it really is an Indian studio making it, currently during India's attempt to create a Hindustan, I'm kind of not surprised, just saying.

I agree with your breakdown, but would argue the later books are much better, just more esoteric. I actually think Herbert's writing got better with time. And yes, avoid everything after the six Frank Herbert written books. To me, his fourth book, God Emperor of Dune, may be one of the best existential books ever written. And yes, the whole point of the first book is to upend the idea of the traditional white saviour narrative. I hope people see that once the second movie comes out.
