This thing hard crashes in game, somehow crashes itself in rest mode, I've had Demons Souls get stuck in this framey bullshit that looks like lag but isn't and the only way to fix it is to hard reboot, it's got all the weird "hey let's play a dumbass game of can you guess which version of this game you are actually downloading," and just jesus christ. I dunno what it is, maybe I'm not looking in the right places or something, but I feel like if past generations of consoles would have launched in this trash state there would be mayhem on message boards, but the vibe I get is everyone shrugging and being like "I dunno they came in hot, hope they fix it."

I haven't been following the reaction to the critical reception further than vague tweets of games media personalities talking about how much shit they're getting for just giving their opinion on the game. But I imagine the response has been level headed and fair all around.

I like my job for the most part. I hate the documentation side of it and unfortunately that is a large part of it. But most of the time I enjoy what I actually do. I do feel like we'd be a lot happier in general with Euro-style time off and fewer hours per week. I think a lot of mental health issues would be alleviated to some degree in this country if we weren't working 40 hour work weeks on the average.

My PS5 came today. I'm guessing PC players have been enjoying this for a while now (I didn't want to buy the game twice), but I have to say No Man's Sky is almost like a new game on the PS5 compared to the base PS4. The load times alone are worth it, but it runs so much smoother.

Console-wise I think PS3-360 are better. If you throw in PC it gets more murky for me because there have been some bangers on the PC in the PS4/XBO era.

I love replaying games and do so often.

I bought Divinity Original Sin 2 on sale. I've already put like 17 hours into it, but I am crawling at like a snail's pace. A few of the battles took me a lot of tries to figure out some better techniques, and I'll admit I'm spamming the teleport gloves. However, I think I am getting better. The game has a really satisfying loop of battle, get a few new pieces of gear, story, battle going on for me right now. I also bought Grim Dawn on sale but have not played it yet. I don't know how that game was completely off my radar until recently.

Certainly no crunch going on here and Jason Shrier doesn’t know what he’s talking about etc etc
