When the Jays are playing, he’s right at the end chatting it up with the guys when they’re up to bat. He even does this when he’s pitching that day. He’d rather be in with everyone then being left alone on the bench to prep himself for the next inning on pitching. What teams normally do for a congrats on being an Allstar is charter a private flight. The As and Nats didn’t, and the Nats didn’t do it likely for retaliatory reasons because Soto rejected their offer. As are just normal cheapskates. And in the case of the Nats, it was just pettiness. Good luck getting big name free agents to want to come to your club when you treat one of the 5 best players in the sport this way.
