best3444
I am on 3 major medications but I currently have no health insurance. One bottle of one of my medications is $1,775.... I LITTERALY cannot afford that so how do others in this world deal with a situation like this? I run out at the end of the month and getting a job is extremely difficult. I have applied to over 30 places with no feedback. If I go off these medications I will have SERIOUS AND even deadly withdrawal. I'm really panicking right now.
Chris-
Talk to the pharmacist and they can check if there are any manufacturer coupons/discounts. You should also look into whether or not you qualify for Medicaid (assuming you don’t have COBRA coverage from your last job).
elbobo
a lot of time drug makers will have some kind of assistance program, I would contact the company that makes your meds

Jason
I think you missed the regular open enrollment period but there are a number of qualifying life events that get you a special enrollment period, look into what those are in your state.
best3444
@Chris- Thank you very much you're a life saver. I have health insurance for one month for $250. This is such a huge relief. I have Medicaid now. 1
Jwheel86
If you've got anything that Social Security recognizes as a disability, a lot of states have Medicaid Buy In programs that let you keep Medicaid with higher income and asset limits. Could help you keep Medicaid once you find work.

You guys were correct I'm past the deadline for enrollment so I had to go with a private insurer.

Keyser_Soze
This also doesn't help you but in California they automatically enroll you in Medi-cal once your other insurance runs out. I couldn't qualify for Kaiser anymore so they put me in Medi-cal 1
best3444
I never realized that my medications cost over $3K without insurance. I wish I didn't have to be on meds in the first place.
