Chadatog
Is it time to just combine all of these threads into this for a The SCOTUS Justices are criminals mega thread?
osxmatt
This seems like a bit of a stretch. They disclosed all the money received from these companies on their financial disclosures, and the case(s) weren’t even taken up by the court. 1

Counterpoint: There's a reason why all 9 justices signed onto that letter saying they don't need oversight or an official ethics framework.

Yeah because Judges don't like oversight and aren't used to it. Judges at ANY level. It's a perk of the job.

She should have recused. Others have, including one liberal Justice who was named in a video I watched, but I forget which. "Our corruption is fine" isn't the best way to go at this. People should be demanding the impeachment of any who did this shit, from Thomas on down to her. The court SHOULD be without reproach. I don’t disagree they should have recused themselves from voting on taking the case, and I believe all votes for granting certiorari should be made public (I don’t believe they are?) But this story feels a bit like CNN trying to get in on the bombshells from ProPublica and Washington Post, and this just ain’t it.
