He’s been trying to get a movie going for years and wants that lead role. I’m all for it, as long as we return to Bender for the animated series. Yeah the movie has been in development pretty much since the first game came out. I'm not surprised to see them turn this into a show. As someone who has actually played and enjoyed all of the Gears of War games and its crazy, over the top universe, this would be a promising first step. Meanwhile the animated ones have at least a couple hits. Jon Spaihts likewise has a mixed track record. Prometheus, Doctor Strange, Passengers, The Mummy (2017), Dune.
