The Worst Snowstorm in Decades May Be About To Hit Canada -- In April

Recommended Posts

We have had 2 weeks in a row of going from 85-90F to 25-35F with snow. I'm tired of melting one day and debating about getting the house ready for summer only to be glad I didn't the next couple to proceed it with asking myself why I didn't get things opened up to having the heater turned on again.

We are suppose to get a heat pump system installed here in May, so that can't come soon enough.

I'm only getting 5-10cm here tomorrow (2-4 inches). A bit further east (Manitoba) they are getting up to 90cm in one day (35 inches). You know, just three feet of snow all at once.

They are advising people to prepare for all roads to be closed, and for possible extended power outages. Fortunately the temp will only be -5C or so (23F) so no power is okay for a day or two, if it comes to that.
