Rumor: Quantic Dream is working on a Star Wars project that will feature 'traditional action gameplay', possibly in an open-world setting with multiplayer elements

Have they ever done an action SEQUENCE in their games, much less and action game in its entirety?

The last games of theirs that I played before I swore them off forever was Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy. It starts at a great point and click adventure game then falls off the rails and then features the greatest action sequence ever in gaming when you fight a prophet...

...and then the Internet...

I was a hardcore Indigo Prophecy hype guy on IGN back in the day (to the point that I probably had a thread or two on the game-specific board [aside: remember the asinine amount of game-specific boards IGN had?!?]), and I also could not tell you a single thing that happened in the game. Though I do remember being incredibly disappointed by the thematic twist and being insanely pissed at the misleading marketing.

Shit. I probably posted in that thread back in the day because I know I was one of the few who played and beat Indigo Prophecy.

I am 100% positive I had posted on those boards along with the PC board about that game. For half the game I was saying it was, maybe, one of the greatest adventure games ever. I even imported the European copy of the game because it came out first and was uncensored. I thought that maybe this is the future of the genre. Then it all fell apart and it was awful. I spent a lot of time on IGN ranting and raving about how pissed I was over how terrible the last third of the game is. It wasn't that it ended weak. It turned into a different, very bad game.

Man Quantum Dream just keeps failing up.

My theory is that they're REALLY good at putting together demos and presentations while simultaneously assuming the execs at like Sony or Disney don't actually play games and have never read a review for any of their games. All of their games look amazing in trailers.
